Kristi Henry of Houma said it best.

"I love me some Lance Moore, and I think he's hot," Henry said.

Moore definitely felt the love from area New Orleans Saints fans.
An estimated 1,500 Saints fans waited in line to get autographs and pictures with the diminutive wide receiver at Rouses on North Canal Boulevard in Thibodaux on Tuesday.

Moore was there in support of breast -ancer awareness, and his scheduled two-hour session went over by 30 minutes to accommodate fans that started lining up at noon.

Moore said he was surprised with the turnout.

"This is something that is very important. You can never do too much and raise enough money for research for something as important as breast-cancer awareness," Moore said. "This was awesome, awesome. This is definitely one of the larger signings that I've done. It is always good to see the fans, show my face and put a few smiles on their faces."

Rouses marketing and advertising director Timothy Acosta said this was the first time a Saints players held an autograph session at the Thibodaux location, and he was pleased with the turnout

"We had a lot of people show up and we estimated 1,200 to 1,500 people. I came here for lunch and the first lady showed up at noon. She had her folding chair and some Rouses water," Acosta said. "Actually, someone asked about this, and just recently we had done some of these things in Houma and the Northshore with Deuce McAllister and Rickey Jackson. This is the first time we bring a player to Thibodaux, and it is exciting to see everyone in their Saints shirts."

One of the fans that waited over an hour to get an autograph was 13-year old St. Genevieve Elementary School student Eli Lasseigne.
Lasseigne said Moore's ability to makes plays is why he is one of his favorite players.

"This is an awesome experience, and it was worth the hour-and-a-half wait. It was all worth it," Lasseigne said. "He's been with the team since 2006, and he is a play maker."

Besides autographs and pictures, fans were able to purchase a "We Want Moore" T-shirt with all the proceeds going to breast cancer research.
Acosta said that the T-shirts will be on sale throughout October at all Rouses Supermarkets.

Fans also had a chance to wish Moore the best of luck for the remainder of the Saints' 2011 season.

With a 4-1 record, Moore siad the team is off to a solid start, but there is a lot of football still left to be played.

"We are getting there, and our goal is to get better each and every week," Moore said. "Winning games is all that matters, and we are trying to set ourselves up at the end. But it is one game at time."

I don't think they need to franchise tag him, because I believe he has already signed a nice 5 year contract with the Saints.
