Maybe he should be benched. We'll see what happens.

actually kreutz is one of our better linemen this season

hes continuing to open lanes for drew to step up even when our tackles are letting pressure get around the edge and hes actually an upgrade from goodwin in the run game

DLP didnt play any better...what did happen was we played 2 pretty poor run defenses when kreutz was out. tampa is actually pretty good at stopping the run and it showed against us as well

De La Puente seems more effective.

Perhaps Sean's other senses get enhanced with this pedestrian set back.
The backs all look healthy, but they can't even get to the line of scrimmage sometimes.
Especially on short yardage, predetermined run situations. Its rediculous.
I just don't think Payton puts the same amount of energy into the run schemes, and it shows.
Most run plays look like a rugby scuffle with us coming up on the short end of the whistle.
Now, we've got a bunch of new blood up front on both sides of the ball.
Both brand new and refurbished talent trying to pick up on how SP/GW does things.
Perhaps it may take more than six weeks or so for them to gel as cohesive units.
Maybe Sean Payton does need to make some changes.
Maybe Ivory doesn't even need blocking up front to get 6-8.
Maybe Tom Johnson gets his game breath and starts clearing the middle like a black hole.
Maybe the whole group is finally sick and tired of being sick and tired of playing sickly and tired.
Let's see how they handle a sick and tired, winless Colts team.

I think the offensive line is lacking in leadership. Stinch was the leader of the O-line and no one has stepped up to take on that role. Thought it would be Evans, but that's not happening. I know it is Drew's team, but each group has it's own leader, it is time for somebody to step up.

They're mediocre. 18TH in the NFL, and 9th in the NFC. Not horrible, not great. Okay.

I am not going to blame all this on Kreutz, but you guys may be on to something. The entire front line, for whatever reason, is a complete mess right now. It is very alarming that Drew Brees has all of a sudden popped up to 8 interceptions for the year, the running game is being stuffed way too much, and the leading pass catchers on the team is a tight end and running back. Ouch, not to mention Brees is on pace for 704 attempted passes.

Basically it all pretty much means is Brees is throwing way too many times, which leads to interceptions, no running game causes Brees to throw too many times, then has to dump it off to safety valves because there is really no time to set up. Really points to the o-line at this point.

Believe me, turn the o-line around, which will get the running game going, which will allow time for Brees to get it to his wide receivers, and then miraculously the defense and Gregg Williams no longer look like idiots...

The whole line seems soft with no leader. Drew has been under pressure from lesser D's and it's getting old watching "the three headed monster" run into walls., it's a wasted down and thus we lead the league in 3rd down conversions. Have not been impressed with Kreutz, but can't single him out as the problem.
