Ok Ivory can come back this week right?

Its time to see if he is ready...who do we cut to make room for him?...i for one am ready to see him on the field..he will help out shotty running game..even with our pathetic O-Line.

I had a discussion with my friend yesterday and we talked about how odd it seems that there are big gaping holes when Ivory was in the lineup as opposed to slim to none when anyone else is back there. Very weird.

I haven't played a lot of attention to it in the past but any one else notice on our running plays, we don't pull our G's and C much or is it just me?

Good I hope we can finally get a running game going. So we can keep our D off the field. Please... Please.... Please

He won't be activated until we have injuries

I agree with this. No way we deactivate any of the running backs we have, and we really cannot afford to cut anyone. He is an insurance policy.

At this point his hundred yards or so will only make up for the hundred yards the O-line is costing us in penalties.

I'm sure they are sitting at the beignet shop this morning instead of running laps around City Park.

You might be right Danno..but i would sit one of our FBs....and get Ivory in..cant hurt...he might give us a spark..

I'm not a big Chris Ivory fan. As I've said before he has no vision.jmho However, he is a bulldozer and we aren't making any holes for our backs. Now would be a good time for him to come in and loosen up the defense.

I agree.. but he does have vision...shall i post that vid again? At this point i would say he would be an upgrade over Ingram..

We don't know that at all. He had a serious off-season surgery that has ended quite a few NFL careers, and then got injured rehabbing it. He hasn't practiced in pads since last year.

I'd say its more likely he's not even close to being an upgrade over anyone yet.

Putting Ivory in for Ingram is just not as simple as we make it sound.
Payton has intricate designs that call for different personnel packages with each guy.
That's why PT's stuff doesn't look like Ingram's stuff, and the Sproles' "Pony Right"
looks like nothing Pierre or Ingram were trying to do.
Its almost diversity to a fault.
Ivory almost exclusively ran off the edges.
Ingram almost exclusively runs between the tackles (and up his people's back).
KISS. Last time I counted, it was still 5-7 on 4-7 until you put everybody in the box.
We hope Ivory's skill set works well even if the O-line doesn't improve.
I say activate Ivory, PS one of the FBs, and cut a PS body, especially if he looks ready in practice.
That gives us another option and may actually make play action effective.

I think having 4 RB's activated that don't get a chance to get into any kind of game rythem would be a waste of time. That means each will touch the ball even less. Duece got better as the game progressed. I willing to bet any of our backs would have the same effect if they got the ball more. But it isn't the type of offense we run so having a top draft pick that will carry the ball maybe 10 times a game is looking to be silly.

But whatever as long as we win games on that last finale drive as time runs out....
