Mr. Vilma

Ok, I haven't found this discussed, but maybe I missed it. Did anyone else notice Vilma towards the end? He just about got into it with one of the TB players. I looked at hubby and said "If Vilma gets into a fight, you KNOW who started it!" So I'm wondering what caused that kinda reaction in JV! Anyone got the skinny on this? TB plays ALMOST as dirty as the Queen City Kitties!

I'd be pissed too if I was part of huge ass blitzes and never got past the O-line

I saw that as well. I don't know what caused it. BUT I do think a lot of the drama, the squabbles and beefs and even the personal fouls that we have been seeing lately on defense the last few weeks, I think they are caused partly by frustration between what is happening on the field vs. was was supposed to happen. ie. execution and coaching/preparation, is not matching up to reality: what really happens out there on Sunday is different from the expectations or predicted outcomes for the defense, going in to the games when they prepare. I think things are not happening on the field the way that they were supposed to happen, or things are not happening the way the players were told or coached that they were going to happen... The Saints defense and Gregg Williams are getting outplayed and outcoached almost every week, and that causes frustration and leads to breakdowns in discipline, where you get the tantrums and scuffles and personal fouls and the like. It's lack of discipline on the Saints' part, rather than the other team playing dirty, I think.

I think SaintsBro is onto something. The D has been getting abused almost every game on and off the field (just scan through our boards) and Vilma is the Captain. His frustration toward the end of the game probably is because he knows if they lose who will get the majority of the blame.

With the horrible officiating, and the calls when there should be none, and no-calls when blatant penalties are committed, I tend to think that that lends to the frustration level. I know how "I" react at home when stuff like that happens, so it can only be amplified on the field. Personally, I think we're targeted by the refs. Not sure WHY...yet...but I definitely see a trend. It's been EVERY GAME THIS SEASON!!! I agree that our D needs work...but if you can't sack the QB cuz you might hurt him, and half the time when you go for the ball, you get called for interference, and you're constantly being held and the refs aren't calling it....arghhhhh....that stinks!!!

Life is too short to be miserable....make changes while you can!

I believe there is a conspiracy!!! and we never walked on the moon either........Seriously, I believe the NFL does try to even things up and make the game more exciting with bad calls.

Yep, bad, bad, bad calls! Like so pathetic that even football novices can pick them out!
