Lance Briggs

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Would Lance Biggs be worth a 2nd round pick? It would leave us without a 1st and a 2nd for next year. But it may help the team in the long term....

Not many people fetch a 2nd round pick these days. I'd go four or five, but not two or three.

Right off the bat I'd say no. I would rather see us spend that 2 on a younger LB come the draft.

Go young. If you can't go young, go rich. If you can't go rich, go ugly. Most often, it is the trifecta - old, poor and 1980 Saints helmet.

I have employed this strategy before, a long time ago, but it had precisely nothing to do with football.

Trading is out of the question indeed.

Giving up more picks from this coming draft, ouch. We are going to be hurting for picks as it is.

If we can get some developing on the D side of the ball we'd be a good bit better.

He said they weren't actively shopping for someone but if they got a call they'd listen.
