Yeah, it's not about who can throw a rock farther........it's about can you hit your opponents with it?

Drew Brees

But he was too small and no arm strength coming out of college...he showed the state of Texas what he was about. ..a lot of coaches here missed the boat .

Arm strength has very little to do with being a top notch NFL QB. The guy playing QB needs to be able to hit his targets with a great deal of accuracy. Probably the best example is Steve Young. Young could not throw for more than like 40 yards if his life depended on it. But Young always completed bomb throws, just like Brees does today. I kind of remember Joe Montana also not having the best arm in the world, he took care of business too.

I think Drew is taking a lot of heat for the picks he has thrown so far this year. However, a lot of those picks are the result of balls being tipped into the air by his recievers. Unfortunately the QB gets credited with it even though it may have been a perfect strike. Drew makes so few mistakes on the field, you can't dwell on the ones he does. Class act from top to bottom and I wouldn't trade him for two Tom Bradys! They will take the South division and they definately have a shot at going deep into the playoffs. And Drew Brees is a big part of the reasoning behind that statement!!! Geaux Saints and Geaux Drew!!

Peyton Manning is a perfect example. Decent arm but nothing special

His arm is so strong who needs a defense.

Until the D gets it together but after watching the Tampa game, to me, it appears Drew was pressing, the team appeared lost when coach went down. When Drew ran that no huddle offense against the Texans he was flawless and everyone around him was on or near that level, when coach went down I was sure Drew was going to get into that mode but he didn’t, I know he and Sean have chemistry but something went missing after the coach injury.
