I might drop a hundy on the birds.

Looks like the boys in Vegas have less faith in us this year than they have any other year than Haslett\'s first. Tell me why again I\'m supposed to think things are getting better?

Everyone still has emptey faith in the Bucs, I hate how they\'re paper champions, just burns me up, they had their one cinderella season and now on I think they will just be an average team that will drop at least one to us every year. I think the Falcons will win the division and I wish I could say we would fight for second but with Haslett and Brooks, there is no limit to how far we can fall. I think it will be a battle between the Bucs and Saints to see who is the cellar dweller.

I think those odds are messed up because Falcons have the best chance and I think the Bucs shouldnt get so much credit, their defense is on its way dooooown. Unless Haslett changes some things and Brooks starts to act right, we\'re screwed yet again.

It\'s Just An Opinion, Unless Spoken By Me!!

Usually I don\'t get depressed about the Saints, until AFTER the season starts. I am still holding on to my faith. Usually those odds are based on previous season records. But that does not explain Carolina\'s drop. I thought they were a force to be reconned with, for years to come? If I am not mistaken(and I may be), in previous years, I have seen 40-1, and 60-1. So I guess all is not lost. Maybe this means that teams will take us lightly going into the season!

The real deal is when the win/loss numbers come out in July. Usually popular teams or teams that have had recent success get lower than deserved SuperBowl odds (Tampa Bay 6/1). I guessing Vegas will give them a 8.5,9, or maybe even 9.5 for the number games to win. As you can see the numbers don\'t match up. A 6/1 favorite should have win/loss numbers like 10.5 or 11. (Like I said the numbers don\'t come out till July, so will see. )

So in other words sometimes the odds to win the Superbowl, especially early on, are not a good indicator of the strong and weak teams.

Tampa most likely got the benefit of the doubt based on the coaching position .

Doubt they factored in the loss of front office management though .

Say it with me....preliminary. Of course we aren\'t the best team in the NFC South as far as odds go. Right now, who can argue that. But just like wind direction, these odd will change throughout free agency and the draft. These numbers mean nothing to me unless there will be no draft, F.A. signings nor trades between now and the next Superbowl.

Geaux Saints!
