Jackson is so full of shyt his eyes aren't naturally brown!

Along the way, he issued a rousing pre-game speech about being professionals, and barked at his own teammates, the opposition ... and even a half-hour after the game, still seemed totally on edge. "We had a mindset today that no matter who the other team was, we were going to kick the hell out of them,'' said Jackson. "I don't care who we played, the result was going to be the same.''

Rams caught the Saints flat Sunday; if a fiery speech is all it took, why were they 0-6 going into Sunday's game?

strato 11-01-2011 01:15 PM

Sorry Jackass...your team is done..congrats on your superbowl...that's about as close as you will get...

You can celebrate while watching us in the post season...

watch the video to..that guys gets it.

Mardigras9 11-01-2011 01:19 PM

If they bring it like did against us every week, sure. No way can that intesity persist week to week. They deserved the win, congrats. We just regroup and move on, you don't want to see us again

Danno 11-01-2011 01:52 PM

Hey Jackson, if we played the Rams all 16 weeks, we'd finish 14-2.

As Mardigras9 said, you don't wanna see us again.

strato 11-01-2011 01:53 PM

Oh he will see us again..from his sofa

skymike 11-01-2011 03:54 PM

never underestimate the power of human emotion. they were pumped.
if they could do that every week, then bully for them.

we were one third down stop from mounting another miracle.

Beastmode 11-01-2011 04:09 PM

I made this point previously, that 159 he put up is misleading, granted he more than doubled his game average but take away a couple of 3rd and longs the Saints GAVE him which resulted in punts anyway, he's hovering around 120. Solid game but If that's their best effort against a lackluster Saints I would not be bragging. Penalties, drops, a defensive TD and that's their best game this year? Even if they did it 5 more times they are still in the coffin.

saintfan 11-01-2011 04:35 PM

Why is everybody hating on Jackson? I applaud him. Wish somebody on OUR team would get some emotion in their step.

He is rubbing salt in our wounds..lol.

halloween 65 11-01-2011 04:46 PM

I hate to say this but right now he has the right to rub salt or whatever else on us until we beat them.

FinSaint 11-01-2011 04:49 PM

Talking about rubbing salt in the wounds...

lynwood 11-02-2011 06:22 AM

To the victor goes the spoils. I'm sure everyone had his team losing by a wide margin iuncluding us. He won, he gets to talk the smack. Wanna shut him up......win. Doesn't matter if they don't win another game this season they kick our butts.

saintsfan1976 11-02-2011 06:32 AM

I'd run my mouth too if I just trampled the entire Saints defense.

He earned it.

Saint_LB 11-02-2011 08:24 AM

You play like an elite team for most of the year, but for some reason there always seems to be a game like Sunday.

Anybody remember Seattle?

winmill1 11-02-2011 08:46 AM

I wish we had someone on our team that would get in someone's face like he did to that Ol that had the false start. He made me want to play. We need that guy.

NOS2SB 11-02-2011 09:41 AM

I wish we had some fire like that prior to the Rams game.

Same here. I would LOVE for somebody...ANYbody, to get on our oline like that during the game...hell, I'd be happy if a fan ran onto the field between plays and did it.

Totally agree. Because I was sitting right behind the bench at that game and no one said a meaning full word. I don't care it it comes to pushing and shoving on the sidelines, do whatever it is you have to do get light a fire under someone's @zz!

...and He didn't say Joe be polite! HA!

SaintPauly 11-02-2011 12:19 PM

I agree. I wish our guys would show passion. They seem to be ho-hum, even when they are losing. No fire, like our superbowl season. It seems like they just expect to win even without trying sometimes.

strato 11-02-2011 12:25 PM

Our guys have shown fire this year..were 5 and 3....they're 1 and 6..Graham has shown it all year...this was a game where we didn't... its not like we can't..just look at your avatar SP25..this dude acts like they just won the superbowl...you think they would do that to us again?...I bet you will see some fire this Sunday ...

SaintPauly 11-02-2011 12:41 PM

Yeah bro, i will agree on Graham, but who else have u seen acting like that? Even Moore doesnt do his antics anymore.

SAINTstunna 11-02-2011 12:58 PM

The SAINTS will go marching in the sunday and WHOOP the crap out of the YUKKS!!! I have two words for you GROUND AND POUND BABY, LET'S GO....... WHO DATT!!!!

JoanieNTX 11-03-2011 02:24 PM

That Jackson dude is pumped full of steroids, I'm tellin' y'all! Wish someone would drug test him! C'mon...the signs were all there! :) Chris Long needs a "checkup", too.....seriously.

Mardigras9 11-03-2011 02:46 PM

I like that JoanieNTX, funny, sure looked like roids. Love to have a running back like that on our team though. Wish our four headed monster would get pissed like he was.

jnormand 11-03-2011 04:53 PM

Ha! My wife kept saying he was on roids! Lmao!

I actually disagree with the sentiment that the Saints' players need to be vocal or animated on the sidelines in order for them to express passion for winning and playing the game. I mean a sign of a truly professional unit is that they do not let their emotions get the best of them and stick to the game-plan that has been formed during the week while preparing for the game. Heck, you only need to listen to one interview with Brees to know he has the passion for winning, and I believe that same mentality trickles down to each and every member of the team. When you get overtly emotional there is always the very real danger of acting out guided by those emotions, which can lead to mental breakdowns and such.

I'm not saying that leadership is not important - because it is - but there are number of ways to show/use that leadership, and of which yelling at your teammates ranks fairly low on my rating scale.

...of course it might be just the Finn in me talking.

I'm not talking overly emotional. I'm talking any emotional. We looked dead last Sunday.

SaintPauly 11-03-2011 08:33 PM

I don't care if they hold hands and cry, as long as we freaking win!
