NFC Seedings after Week 8

1 Attachment(s)
After the Saints took their bye week against the Rams they fell from the #3 seed to #4, flip-flopping with the Giants, who were #4 last week. Everything else remains the same, with Green Bay and Frisco the #1 and #2 spots, Detroit #5 and the Bears managing to keep their #6 seed even though they had real bye. Because of the loss, if the season ended now the Saints would be hosting the Lions in the Wildcard Playoff round.

San Fran still has Baltimore..Pitt and The Giants...so they could drop a few for sure..

The Giants have some tough stuff to

New England
Philly
San Fran of course
Saints
Green bay
Dallas
Jets

I know everyone thinks G.B is unstoppable..but look at their schedule..its a tough one..
Chargers
Vikes
Tampa
Lions..all in a row
Giants
Raiders
Chiefs
Bears
Lions
They could easily drop a few there

so we take care of business and we could be sitting pretty...

I hope Green Bay drops them all they make me ill, but as for us I would like to get the #1 seed but I'll settle to go to the dance because our chances to win the big dance will be as good as theirs. Let the games begin.

Good post Strat.

Let's stay on top of this - I have a feeling each week we'll need an update.

FireVenturi 11-02-2011 10:20 PM

My predictions, just for fun so calm down...

1) Green Bay 15-1
2) San Fran 12-4
3) Philly 10-6
4) Saints 10-6
5) Detroit 10-6
6) Atlanta 10-6

1st round saints beat Detroit
Philly beats Atlanta

2nd round gb beats new orleans
Philly beats sf

Nfcc
Gb beats Philly

Now my homer pick....
Saints win at gb in nfcc in zero degree weather!!!!

Power Rankings

Check out these power rankings. The Falcons are overrated while the Giants don't get much respect.

PLAYOFFS!?!?!

To bad we aren't seeded like a 3-5 team which is what we should be the way our D plays.

AllSaints 11-03-2011 06:13 PM

lol im glad we r talkin bout playoffs and the rams smoked r butts and they won how many games ? ? and there starting QB was out and AJ FEELY looked like a Good QB... AJ FEEELY.... C'mon man ! ! !!

Well Pack won..but that 30th ranked D is looking worse each week...our O can shred them. and it will cost them down the road..

Giants pulled out a tough win against the Pats...they are getting better..

The 49rs look legit...we could end up going there to play..

Lions well they look capable of beating anyone...but i think they stumble again in Dec.;)

The Bears and Iggles tonight ..so we will see if either one wants to be that 6th seed.

so right now ..i see us being able to beat any of these teams...

Now onto the Falqueers..and spank them like we did the Yucs.. wait! knock the snot of out of them!

One win at a time - I hope the ST L. game taught us & the team something.

Why does St L have our f--ken number????

arsaint 11-07-2011 10:41 PM

Saints are currently 63% to make the playoffs.

NFC Playoff Picture

We win Sunday and it goes to 79%.

Saints What If?

Thanks for keeping us updated. Saving that link.

A lot of tough and interesting match ups in the NFC this week.

Us at Atlanta. Vikings at Packers. Giants at 49ers. Detroit at Chicago. Buffalo at Dallas. Houston at Tampa Bay.

I don't know the tie breaker but if we win and the Giants lose would we move up to the #3 seed? Sadly it looks like it will be nearly impossible to catch the Packers and the 49ers. #3 seed atleast gives us hope we get home field for the NFC title game as well as wild card of course. Home game for Wild Card, beat 49ers which I'm not sold they are a great team and then whoever in the NFC title game hopefully at the Super Dome. We've got to beat the Falcons.

We still have a shot at #2 seed (I think #1 is probably gone). SF has Giants, Steelers and Ravens left and I would not be surprised if they blow one that they should win.

11-5 or 12-4 at best for the 49ers.

Not sure on the Giants. We would move ahead of them by a 1/2 game under your scenario as we would be 7-3 and they would be 6-3. However, we would both have 3 NFC losses, so it would then go to common opponents to determine who was ahead in the case of a tie...

Giants still have Saints, 49ers, Jets, Cowgirls twice (and Dallas will somehow split with them) and Packers.

I predict the NFC East champ is going to be #4 seed, so we need the Giants to take the 49ers a peg...

Good points. I hadn't looked at the 49ers schedule but I knew they had most of their games left with NFC West oponents and that division is still garbage. So I'm with you on the #2 seed. And the Giants schedule looks brutal. Ours isn't so easy either but we get our strongest oponents at home after this game in Atlanta ;) Bring the noise boys!
