Since when has there been all this "bad blood" between the Saints and Bucs?

Yea they are a division rival and all, but I never really consider them much of a threat, so they are not as hated in my eyes as Atlanta or the Panthers. All the media was talking about was this "bad blood". When did this happen?

strato 11-06-2011 05:27 PM

Its been there all along..they hate us we hate them..go Texans next week.

dizzle88 11-06-2011 05:34 PM

The hatred got deeper when josh freeman turned up, Whiney lil punk! Big win!

SaintPauly 11-06-2011 06:10 PM

He does have a tendency to act like a three year old. I couldn't believe he chased a defender down the field just because he got hit. It you could have put a cloud above his head it would have read, "I'm gonna tell my mommy on you." :cry2:

I like Josh. I have no problem with him whatsoever. IMO he's the second best QB in our division.

Sorry, but I disagree big time. The guy is huge and is difficult to take down, but his game can be taken away. I would take a well coached Matt Ryan over him.

I think at this point, the stats show:

1) Brees - Saints #1 overall passing yards
2) Newton - Car #5 overall passing yards
3) Freeman - TB #11 overall passing yards
4) Ryan - Alt #18 overall passing yards

At this point I find Freeman to be a hot-head and complainer. He throws bad passes and complains to the refs non-stop.
I think Cam Newton has shown more composure this season.

Remember when Jenkins got (2) 15 yard penalties on the same play after Freeman head butted him? How often do you see someone get 2 penalties for 30 yards on the same play? I hate that guy's ***** move to the sideline then turn up field when DBs slow up. Freeman isn't half of what Cam will be.

2002 looked like a new rivalry maybe but then the Sucs sucked since then and we kinda did too for a few years. There was a sucs fan from Tampa at my school but he switched to a different team lol.

The Bucs play dirty, I thought Blount was going back to his old self," you can call a zebra a horse, but it still has stripes" glad he got flagged for 15. The rest of their team [ if you look close] are as dirty as he is. Not much class there in my opinion.

skymike 11-07-2011 06:39 AM

Are you kidding? I think for 2 years straight, including '09- the road team won every meeting with these two teams. Hell yeah, we've had history with the Bucs, dating back to us being the first team they ever beat.

I'll bet somebody else besides me remembers Bruce Clark throwing a knockout forearm to Bucs lineman Ron Heller, after Heller stuck his fingers in Rickey Jackson's face. The best knockdown I've ever seen.

My wife still cant stand Jon Gruden, though I think he's a compelling broadcaster.

Even before the division re-line-up, we seemed to play the Bucs every year, because of our dueling sucky records, and yeah, a lot of those games got nasty.

-----So while we're roasting Josh Freeman, how about that play where Atlanta jumped offsides, earlier this season, where Freeman kicked the guy
who tried to tackle his legs. I dont see how that wasnt a penalty.

Tell your wife she isn't alone. I can't stand Gruden either. :D It's annoying how he gets on EVERYONE'S jock. I have never seen him say anything negative about anyone, the way he talks, 3/4th of the league deserves to be in the Pro Bowl. Lol.

Back to the topic: I hate the Bucs more than the Falcons or Panthers, although I would never wish for an injury to one of their players (like McCoy.) I think Freeman is 99% of the reason I can't stand them, Bucs fans put him up on this pedestal because he is big and hard to tackle, like Roethlisberger. I don't remember Freeman winning 2 Super Bowls like Big Ben, I don't remember him doing anything that compares to Big Ben actually.

Most 4th quarter comebacks for how young he is? That's great, but if you don't get behind, you don't need a 4th quarter comeback. Ask Brees, Brady, Rodgers, Manning, Ben, and before this year, Rivers.

In 2 years the NFC south QBs will go

Brees
Newton
Ryan
Freeman, assuming he is still a starter.

atlanta stills holds the lead on the suck meter over tampa and carolina in my book. we need to keep whippin on them and they have to keep whoppin each other for us.

homerj07 11-07-2011 11:12 AM

Screw them & the horser they rode in - hate them now hate them always. Yes I loth & depsise the Fal-clowns BUT TB is not far behind!!

Freeman is a whiny little punk BUT so is Newton. He acts like the Sr QB at a high school. He needs to learn that he is not all that & a bag of chips!!

SeatownSaint 11-07-2011 12:09 PM

Blount slapping Will Smith in the face mask showed some bad blood. Division rival, Sucs winning the last 2 games just compounds the situation.

JoanieNTX 11-07-2011 02:45 PM

NOT a Freeman fan at all, here! Remember when Drew was helping him in the off season several years ago? Sure hope we don't make that mistake again! IMO, he's a big whiney baby, and when he ran after our defense, I was thinking, "why don't you run up on big Will like that, sucker?"!!!! Would LOVE to see Will Smith knock him back about 10 yards! ;)

skymike 11-07-2011 06:44 PM

talking about rivals.
There was some news story about some guy in Houston who robbed a store, just small time stuff. In his description, they said he was wearing a Saints cap or t-shirt, I cant remember.

This guy couldnt possibly be a Saints fan, or even from Louisiana.

If he was a Saints fan, and he knew he'd be seen on camera committing
a crime,

he would have worn FALCONS gear.

QBREES9 11-07-2011 08:41 PM

Its always been there. I think it was last season or offseason. Freeman was working out with Drew.
