Anyone heard anything about why Sharper was on the Saints sideline?

Think the Saints will sign him?

RockyMountainSaint 11-07-2011 08:05 PM

I don't have enough information.

If they think he can contribute and sign him? I am OK with it.

If they think he can contribute as a consultant/coach? I am OK with that.

If he was just hanging out? DON'T TEASE ME!

i read somewhere this wasn't the first time this year he was on sideline. not sure

He still lives in NOLA and has been a guest of the team on the sideline for every home game so far this season, I do believe. He is done playing. The Saints have no interest in signing him.

He still has a place here and is in town quite a lot and works out with the guys sometimes to keep in shape. From what I heard he has been to other games so I don't think there is much more to this than him just helping out on his own.

That's nice of him if he, is but I hadn't seen him at games before yesterday, I would love to see him give it another shot.

So we can rag him about being even slower than Harper?
I hope he's just in the younger guys ears about technique and field vision.
Slow is still an issue. We can't fix it with slow.

If the Saints want sign him, at least hire him as a coach there is a huge difference between looking good on paper and field knowledge and he has been one of the best that has ever played safety.

So just all of a sudden, he cant run fast anymore?
When I was 38 I could run as fast as I could when I was 18.
Not to mention I weighed a lot more, which would help in a collision.
I'll bet he still exercises every day.
Its not like he got married and started sitting on the couch and eating.
Every time I get a divorce, I lose 30 pounds.

Across NFL Networks ticker they are saying: He said he was looking forward to pursuing a broadcasting career...

I guess seeing him on the sidelines was just a false alarm...
