Ivory? Again? Good lawd! Mister Glass!

NOS2SB 11-09-2011 03:40 PM

It might not be a bad idea to rest Vilma this week again and have the bye, so he would be ready to go for the rest of the season.

Cruize 11-09-2011 04:00 PM

If they can play, they can rest next week. All hands on deck!

WhoDat!656 11-09-2011 04:18 PM

I'd let Tusk rest as well, PT & Sproles should be able to keep the running game going

Ours isn't too bad. I like theirs also:

•DE John Abraham. Missing for reasons that aren't related to injury. Not entirely sure what's going on there, but hopefully he'll be set by the weekend.
•OT Sam Baker. He's not going to play. Will Svitek has turned in solid performances in back-to-back weeks, and he'll remain the starter.
•DE Ray Edwards. Keep a close eye on Edwards, who's dealing with a knee injury. The Falcons will be in trouble if both Abe and Edwards miss the game.
•TE Tony Gonzalez. Dealing with a back injury, Gonzo will undoubtedly push hard to play. Hopefully he's just resting at the moment.
•C Todd McClure. No idea what's going on here. He's listed as missing practice for non-injury related reasons, so hopefully he, like Abe, will be ready to go come Sunday.
•S William Moore. Moore was removed from the Colts game with a quad injury. He'll likely be slapped with the dreaded questionable tag. If he can't go, James Sanders will prove his versatility once more and start in his place.

We need Ivory or Ingram this week, we need at least 1 thumper, I prefer 2. We will be o.k. without Vilma. He really needs the rest, if he's not at full speed, and I do mean full speed, he is a liability. Before all of you freak out, when he's at full speed he plays real well. If Porters not ready, I hope Robinson can go.

Did anyone think ivory would play more than two games? I didn't.

His time is running out.

saintsfan1976 11-09-2011 06:58 PM

As much as I've bagged on Ivory for being injury-prone, a hamstring pull can be expected after recently being activated.

Still, we can't catch a break it seems like.

If you can frippen walk - you can play!! ITS THE C-CK LICK FATLANTA FAL-CLOWNS. GET YOUR ASS ON THE FIELD & EARN YOUR CHECK!!

Ivory's going to play. Not necessarily a sprain. May just be a precaution holding him out of practice? I channeled him and he's claiming a tremendous game breaker this week. LOL

This game IS the rest of the season. We win and we've beaten each division team at least once, and right now we own the Buc's. We lose and well... we've lost to the best, the worst, and everyone in between.

I'm weary of giving games away and expecting to come back and impress someone. A couple years ago at this time we were on a 9-game winning streak. That's where I'm going to feel comfortable.

Chris Ivory is injured again. Sigh.

alleycat_126 11-10-2011 05:42 AM

Dammit, my dream of dressing four RBS at some point in this season is dying, because of Ivory. My idea is we give Ivory as good a season as he can possibly get and then we trade him. He can't stay healthy. Already got hamstring concerns.

Although a hamstring injury shouldn't be that bad and is something to be expected after being out of the game for as long of a time as he has been - as was already mentioned - it is discouraging to hear he is once again injured.

I was worried that he would eventually be heading down the same road as Marion Barber and would end up as a broken down horse after a couple of seasons of hard running, but now it seems that he won't even have those couple of years of hard running because of his injury-prone physique.

Too bad... he was such a bright spot last season.

Danno 11-10-2011 07:57 AM

As Alaska mentioned, it could just be a bit of tightening up since he basically had no TC or pre-season to get in real football shape. It was why I was hoping they'd ease him back instead of throwing him into the fire.

We are freaking loaded at RB and FB.
