Sean Payton having to coach from "upstairs" really hurts the Saints. Oh please! This story has gotten more than enough hype and attention. I'm sorry Payton got hurt, but it's not going to be the reason the Saints will lose games. The Saints have an abundance of coaching talent on the sidelines. Communication in this high-tech world we live in won't hinder communication. Some folks are making this sound like Payton is coaching by attaching a message to a rider who then jumps on a pony and gallops to the sidelines. Adapt or die! End of story.

Why did Coach Payton come down for the Atlanta game? He didnt' have to, but he knew it would inspire his team. Gerry V is an idiot.

Up in the booth payton couldn't talk directly to Brees. Because of NFL rules everything he said went to Carmichael and then Carmichael to Brees so that was 1 issue that bothered Payton. The other was not being able to give the officials a piece of his mind like he did after they waved off the PI against Moore. That was total BS and he let them know about it and that might have influenced a make up call later in the game such as the PI call against White.

Eye to eye contact with his players means a lot to a coach like Payton.
