The Good, The Bad, The Ugly - Falcons Edition

The Good -

Fear: Teams may not fear our Defense, but they sure as hell fear our offense and Drew Bress. Onside kick with plenty of time remaining, 4th and one on your 30 those are the products of fear.

4th down Defense. I don't know why teams think this is a weak area for us. Three weeks straight we have been tried on fourth downs. 2 and 1 I would say.

Patchwork Offensive Line is gelling DLP and Strief were awesome. Did you hear John Abraham's name called one time. That's two weeks in a row. No sacks.

Drew Interception free.

Scott Shanle actually does have a pulse. Im usually a avid Shale critic but it will have to be saved for another day. He played well.

Roman Haper playing at a pro bowl level today. It looked like he was involved in a lot of plays.

The Bad -

Tackling, we have strip fever here and I've just about gotten used to the fact that we don't wrap up in open space

Predictability on offense to much substitution not enough feeding the hot hand. I felt like Ingram and Sproles were both ineffective today, Pierre on the other hand caught fire running the ball mid game and was never heard from after he got a little warm.

The Ugly -

Mismanagement of bad field position that you gave Matt Cryin and the Falcons offense. 2 times Morstead pinned them at their goaline and both times quick drives and confusion on defense let them drive full field on us to score.

Stubborn ass blitzing when we are up, instead of solid man on man in situations where we are protecting the lead we fought all day to have. Harry ( FREAKING ) Douglas got open with no coverage on him on consecutive plays!!! Ridiculous
GG Saints we needed that one. Let's get some rest!!!!

After ten games, I think this team is who they are.

Offense - deadly at times but prone to slow starts and poor blocking.

Defense - poor tackling at times and gets pushed around some (too often). Our blitz may not generate many sacks, but hurried throws can lead to INT's

We'll crush one team and let another put us in a hole.

As I said earlier, I hope this team has finally turned a corner and is hitting it's stride at just the right time...

I agree...but we did run some prevent when we needed to blitz...and gave them the middle of the field...but overall..we won and have 2 weeks to get healthy and try and sure up some things..

Ive seen some improvement the last two weeks on both sides of the ball...

To win there today was huge y'all ..i cant stress that enough.

I was amazingly confused (& screaming - a lot) about this. How can a no name fuk like DOuglas get that many yards on 3 plays?

TWO OF WHICH WERE THE EXACT SAME PLAY!!

I am a moron & I could see early that the zone prevent was NOT working.

I really hope the bye week will be used to straighten out some of these flaws and that the boys come back better than ever.

I agree with whats been posted but I want to add something. The O is not as explosive as they were early season. Why is that? Are teams figuring out our gameplans? Or is something not clicking right in the offense? Did we blow our wad (sort of speak) in the Colts game?

Discuss...

Perhaps, Sean and Gregg understood early in the season that this is a team with "warts".

This is a team with many returning parts, but there are some significant new parts as well.

I think that we will peak at playoff time and make a run to the BOWL!

Perhaps I am giving Sean and Gregg to much credit.

I think that the glass is half-full.

We will see.............

I'm still in shock that we actually got a interception, we caught a pass from another QB, finally!!

The O doesn't seem to be as consistent as they usually are, you can always pick one game - If we come out firing on all cylinders in the first drive, you know its going to be a good game for the O

I havent seen this yet.

Maybe the bye week, will give ironside and Brees time to work on some plays, to get our tempo going IN THE DOME ON MONDAY NIGHT!!!!
