ABSOLUTELY! I would have taken a 1/2 point win over a division rival.
Many NEW fans have joined who are, FRANKLY, SPOILED!

You know it is real easy to be critical but we are considered one of the best in the league.

jlouhill 11-14-2011 07:59 PM

7-3 and first place in the division. What a bunch of losers we are. Get rid of Brees and Sean. We should be 10-0 and scoring 50+ per game instead of 35-40. :disgust:

That's kind of what I thought. By the sounds of it, you'd think we were 3 and 7 rather than 7 and 3

I'm with y'all. The griping and complaining by some has gotten past ridiculous. They have either forgotten or weren't around during the early years. My guess is most weren't around because this bandwagon got very crowded after about '06 or so.

There are glass half empty, and glass half full people in the world. It doesnt make them bad people, its just who they are. Winning is really all i care about. I wasnt expecting a blow out sunday. I dont even remember the last time we played the falcons, and it wasn't a close game..... Our division is tough. Im proud of my boys, and the work they did on Sunday..... Except for this whole coin toss debacle! Lmao

Yea, trade Brees, he can't even win a coin toss. :???:

RaginCajun83 11-14-2011 08:37 PM

The linebackers are terrible, I wonder what Fincher and Watson are up to these days?

saintsfan1976 11-14-2011 08:41 PM

Now that we're done patting each other on the back...

This team still has real problems to fix before we even begin to sniff a playoff game.

I think 7-3 is pretty good man..and i dont see how we miss the playoffs...that team where you live that's another story..

OldMaid 11-14-2011 09:31 PM

Saints won. Whew!! It was close. They won.
Still, happy and grateful they won, there is some things to tighten up on. Positive talk is not a bad thing.

It was a joke dude....

SapperSaint 11-14-2011 09:40 PM

A "W" is a "W" is a "W".

I will always take any win over a 500 yrd 30TD's and 400 rushing yrd; loss.

I just don't hink G.W. is the defensive coach we need. His style of coaching; while it did win us a S.B.; it doesn't seem to be working now. I hate to be the guy that has the "What have you done for me lately"... but come on man....enough is enough. The offense can not win every game. The defense needs to win their share.

I will give them (Defense) the win at ATL. That 4th down and an inch, stop won us the game.

jeanpierre 11-14-2011 10:48 PM

Here's the thing...

Been a Saints fan since I was four; met Archie Manning at a Bank Opening/Signing when I was six and I was hooked...

My first game attended in the Dome in 1979 saw the Saints lay a big egg; Dan Fouts and the Chargers dropped 35; and everyone around us, including my Dad, said the Saints were on drugs...

Became a Season Ticket holder when I turned 18 - that season was their first winning season - Thought My Life Was Charmed. Then I watched during the Mora tenure as we got "real close" but we never got a real quarterback and played not to lose...

I endured Ditka/Diliberto; Jim Haslett/Brooks; watched as Jim Kuharich kept us in mediocrity; and Tom Benson tried to steal the Saints to his back porch in San Antonio...

Am I spoiled, neaux. If I was spoiled we'd average 14 wins over the next 10 years under Drew and his "Steve Young" replacement with Five Superbowls and a big "up yours" to the rest of the league over same period; then, I'd be spoiled...

Steelers sucked it for forty years before they had their dynasty in the 70's - so, as irrational as it seems, I want the same, nay, better success to bask in...

capisce?

I know. Just playing along with you. I got it. ;)

Mardigras9 11-15-2011 06:46 AM

Two games ago, after St Louis, we said we wouldn't know who our team was until the bye. Well now we are in leading our division and Atlanta has to come to the Dome. Sometimes it's not pretty, and we do have issues to fix on both sides of the ball, but we are trending up. It's encouraging that our best ball is still to come.

strato 11-15-2011 10:09 AM

Division leaders beat the Bucs ..Panthers and Falqueen once each..what more do you want...go pull for the Cowgirls if that aint good enough see how that works out..We have a bye to get healthy and 3 more wins will win this division...Falcons won't recover from that 4th and one...they are done!

AlaskaSaints 11-15-2011 12:26 PM

There won't be any 'rest for the weary' (Brees) at the end of this season.
NFC extremely competitive.

I hope we can stay, excuse me, GET healthy.

That game could have easily put us at 6-4 with PLENTY of blame to go around.

We go into the bye week, happy to come out of ATL with a win, but with PLENTY of problems to address.

And "pretty good" won't win us another superbowl.

Priceless. Well Said.

And, yeah, sure 7-3 leading the division is a great place to be...much better days as a Saints fan in the Loomis, Payton, Brees era. But the facts still remain. We do have our issues that will, and have got us beat. I don't necessarily like talking about them, but they Are there.

Yeah. Trade him unless he starts getting these coin tosses right. He needs to focus on calling the right way the coin comes down otherwise I think we should look for a new coin toss caller.

SaintsBro 11-16-2011 10:34 AM

They should get Jimmy Graham to stare down the coin before they toss it, have him talk some smack to it when the official shows it around, and let Jimmy call the toss...that coin will not DARE come down the wrong way!

AlaskaSaints 11-16-2011 11:10 AM

We would defer anyway if we did win the toss. The coin toss is mute.

Lets us gauge the defense right off the bat!

Alaska

homerj07 11-16-2011 11:24 AM

NO doubt - I agree. The only thing I want to see is a more consistnet effort form the "D". BUT I am beginning to think it is more GW & less the players.
