Note to Equipment Managers:

When we play at Lambeau, wear deep cleats. They watered the field against the Vikings tonight like they did against us on opening night.

Vikings slipping everywhere. Packers? Well, not so much.

So THAT is what they did! I couldn't figure out why the Vikes had no traction. Makes sense what happened to the Saints.

Now, they do that in mid-January, cleats will be dangerous. Better use ice clamps, with razor edges.

Halo 11-14-2011 10:24 PM

WE DEFINITELY NEED TO BRING SOME HIGH QUALITY H2O

breesfan27 11-14-2011 11:28 PM

I was wondering why the Vikes were slipping and sliding everywhere. D*ck move, Green Bay.

Saintswrath 11-14-2011 11:31 PM

It looks like the Field was saturated a bit, i noticed Greenbay had longer spikes on their cleats than some of the Vikings players, when the Kicker slipped and a few receivers i was like no way they are wearing Tennis shoe's on the field.

strato 11-15-2011 12:10 AM

Yep...they had the old field guy working his magic tonight.. reminded me of old guy from King of the Hill..

Ashley 11-15-2011 12:20 AM

NO Sh*t! Those ass hats.

B_Dub_Saint 11-15-2011 12:21 AM

Crusader 11-15-2011 02:44 AM

Smart move by GB.

jnormand 11-15-2011 03:16 AM

How is that ****ing legal?

NOS2SB 11-15-2011 04:29 AM

I hope they go undefeated until the NFC Championship game and we beat them.

neugey 11-15-2011 06:12 AM

Better yet, be ready to wear both sets of cleats - in case they switch it up and don't water.

skymike 11-15-2011 06:15 AM

we've found the secret of their success.

subguy 11-15-2011 08:21 AM

When the word cleats is said I think of Mike Bell....

Because the Packers are the golden team... I'm getting sick about how poerfect they are. This is the same team that barly made it into the play offs last year and almost lost the Super Bowl. This is the same team that on opening night still after watering down the field to stop the Saints oofense still came down to the wire....
Not to mention AJ Hawl purposely got called for pass interfernce on Sproles not to give up a Touch down...

At this point.. I want them to get thier ass handed to to them by anyone. I'm pulling for Detroit on Thanksgiving. And I want San Fran to lose a few also

jnormand 11-15-2011 09:02 AM

But if they are indeed "watering down the field", why isn't this all over the news? Why are we not hearing about it?

Now that it's coming out there might be some new lawn maintenance rules to follow. Every good coach pushes the envelope. Remember Payton was accused of faking injuries to save time outs. Whether it was true or not I don't know, but I do know a good coach is looking for every advantage.

I was thinking, I mean...laughing, the same thing! LOL!

I was gritting my teeth during last night's game. I can't take the "perfect" descriptor anymore. Sickening. Truth is I'm envious.

We should have beaten this team and I'm still feeling cheated about that.

DITTO. Is it just me that thinks we can kick there ass if we were given another chance. We would be huge underdogs prolly and we play our best when we are underdogs!! I say bring on the Packs vs Saints for the NFC title.

halloween 65 11-15-2011 04:25 PM

I would much rather play the Packers than the Bears. I know we can beat Green Bay, we really already have and they know it. But the Bears have started to get their act together, I know we beat them already but the games I have been watching recently is a totally different team. This is the only team I am weary of.

skymike 11-15-2011 05:07 PM

you're tired ("weary") of them?

AlaskaSaints 11-15-2011 05:33 PM

Good catch, SkyMike.

Green Bay is bringing back Watergate for 2011! Impeach them!

The Dude 11-15-2011 08:21 PM

iM gonna laugh my ass off when Green Bay goes out in the first round.

homerj07 11-16-2011 06:39 PM

Homefield advantage - the job of the coaches to be ready for any eventuallity

9thWardDesire 11-17-2011 05:39 PM

I seriously doubt they actually have a 1st round game.

They were missing seven starters at one point and still WON the SuperBowl...

And they have quality Linebackers and Safeties...

And has been mentioned, they will have a bye in Round 1...

This does bring back shades of New England's grounds crew clearing of the snow to kick a field goal; not sure if that rule can apply here though...
