Still waiting to see Ingram sprout. Maybe not this season.

iceshack149 11-16-2011 09:33 AM

Don't we already have an Ingram v Ivory thread? I don't understand the argument.

Where you at, Canton!?

Watch your back, Strato. Canton is about to climb on your shoulders and start peeling bananas.

If Ingram cant say healthy - its a moot point

The tiger circles the cage staring intently, but with apprehension, at the raw porterhouse steaks that mysteriously appeared in the center of his sanctum.

Ivory plays his role well when healthy but Ingram has very little limitations and a tremendous upside.

Why is everyone so quick to judge. Ingram.

Statistics without proper framing or perspective will do that to people...

I like Ingram, but if it's 4th and goal on the one with 1 second on the clock, I want Ivory. I also hope Ingram becomes the back he was drafted to be for the sake of the Saints and Saints nation. Right now it's Ivory time, both are young and I hope we have both of them for a very long time to come.

I don't know that you can read much into the performance of either Ivory or Ingram. Neither has been a "featured" back this season, and neither has been utilized much in roles beyond rushing. When you factor in tendencies, the o-line and play design, I will argue that none of our backs are distinguishing themselves. This is a scenario where I think we're slicing the baloney a bit too thinly.

Because, as the season progresses, the reality that we don't have a 1st round pick next year, begins to set in...
