And Suh's had the dirty player rep for two years now, and Jenkins states he likes the way he plays. To me, and perhaps I'm reading too much into it, that means Malcolm is OK with his overall style of play.

I read that as Malcolm admires players who play dirty.

To me I read that as Malcom admires his intensity. I guess my point is nobody knows what he meant, and I've yet to read where anybody has asked him.

We don't know what he meant, or at least "I" don't know what he meant, and until I do know I'm going to reserve any judgement. I don't think Jenkins is even remotely close to being a dirty player, so I am able to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Anyone check the Lions' board to see what they are saying, yet?

71% to 29% - YES. Malicious intent.
That's what it was when I visited, anyway...

The Lions fans at the site I go to did not think Suh's actions were cool. But there's a radio show host here that thinks it's all k. I'd call in but I was kinda banned after representing a while back.

I couldn't be more disappointed in Malcolm. There's a huge difference in what he did versus someone who's defending a teammate and goes overboard like Kyle Turley did.

Gimme a Kyle Turley over a Malcolm Jenkins any day of the week, every week of the year.

Even though Jenkins did say the stomp was a lil too much I think he was speaking of his aggressive style of play but Suh is in the wrong era of football and with that should warrant the same punishment if not more than in what Hanesworth did in a similar fashion. Too bad Jenkins we can't read into what you meant in your comments only in what you say and this reaction is the Black&Gold's reaction

Malcolm Jenkins, think before you TWITTER. Yeah a lot of good he's doing helping his teammates on the sidelines. THINK.

There were some very good points made in this thread. I gave out several likes and I don't do that often without good merit. That is one of the reasons I like this board so much. We have intelligent discussions that are informative and thought provoking.
Oh yeah, Jenkins doesn't play that way and I hope his talk was taken out of context.

Suh keeps up that foolishness in order to keep up his intensity.
Otherwise, he would be just another big ole 300 lb teddy bear.
Perhaps a 2-3 game suspension, lost salary and a $50,000 fine might help him find a new way
to motivate himself.

the 2nd guy to throw the punch always gets caught

its not likely that suh just up and kicked the dude for no reason. ppl dont do that. it builds over the course of a game.....especially in the trenches

you spend 4 qtrs of every game getting punched in the mouth and it starts to piss you off a little. ppl that have never played football and the ppl in the media blow all of this out of proportion

suh isnt dirty because of something like this...this kind of stuff happens on every single play of every game....it only gets caught every once in awhile and thats when ESPN jumps on it and makes it bigger than it is

It's rare, but we actually agree.

And if you watch the video, it looks like Suh is getting up (granted after bashing the other guys head into the turf a few times) and the guy on the ground grabs at his legs.

I hate it when I agree with you Canton - I really really hate it... :bng:
