Watson Appreciates Opportunity in New Orleans

We at Saints Revolution.com are proud to bring you our first interview, with one of the newest members of the Saints, DT Kevin Watson. Kevin is in his second year as a pro after signing last season with the Patriots. Throughout the offseason, we hope to help you get to know him a little better through a series of interviews and excerpts from Watson’s online diary.

GG: I read that you signed with the Patriots last year after the draft. Why would you do that considering the Saints were also interested?

KW: Actually, it was between the Falcons and the Pats but I felt that the Patriots presented the best opportunity. The Saints showed interest too.

GG: From the looks of our run defense, you probably have a job!

KW: I hope so, definitely!

GG: How do you feel about your opportunity with the Saints?

KW: I feel blessed, to tell you the truth.
