The play was a big suprise because you usually don't call those with a lot of yardage to go. Hence the greater element of suprise. It almost worked but NYG did a great job reacting to what was happening.

First, it reminds your team that football is fun.

Second, the play call gets the other team thinking instead of reacting; a split second in the NFL is a HUGE difference.

Third, though FG blocks are rare in the NFL - it makes the opposition stay "home" in further FG attempts...

It was early in the game and there would be plenty of more opportunities to win the game...

I thought Graham made a hell of an adjustment to get as much as he did; and judging from the body language and reaction of Daniel; it seemed the throw made have been "bad."

OK, I can buy this.

I am on the fence with the call.

I mean I like it think it was probably the right time of the game for it but I don't think it was the right choice on 4th and long. Call the fake but there has to be a different play call for it. Worse case it think I rather the ball in Drew's hands and offense on the field instead of the kick formation out there.

I actually missed kickoff, and was on the road, listening on radio.
You know, radio gives you a better feel for the crowd, than tv, I
think. There's something "canned" sounding about the crowd on
tv. But with radio, I dont know... it just sounds "right there," and more real. anyway, enought of that tangent.

My point is, the crowd, on radio, was audibly delighted with the call.
For those of you who were there, it sounds like the crowd loved the call,
and was just as happy, as if they had kicked he FG. I mean, it did
put the Giants on their own 9.

I loved the call, it reminded the league that Sean has the biggest set of any coach .... besides it makes other defensive coaches something else they have to worry about when watching film on the Saints

It was just too far. I hope that pretty pass puts some your worries about my boy Chase Daniel to rest.

Compared to the Giants' own miserable attempt at a fake punt, the play was brave, brilliant, awesome and fabulous, even if not entirely successful. Shows you the difference between the two teams, right there. It also pinned them pretty deep, which I think was part of the equation if it didn't work out-- they knew Chase would at least get the pass to Graham, it was a fairly easy toss, and even if Graham didn't get the first, it would still pin them back in very bad field position. I absolutely loved the call.

Saints only gave up 3 points to go for the fake, and it pinned the Giants deep. I liked the call. I would have liked it even more if they had converted or scored on the play.

Short term...wanted the points early in the game.
Long term...showed the rest of the league you never know what we'll do.
Overall...Glad it wasn't a factor.

I was the only one in the room who was ok with it . We did pin them deep.
