THE most amazing thing I saw Monday

I wish I could find a video, but on the play where Brees escaped a couple tackles and threw for a 1st down where they challenged him being across the LOS, they focused on his eyes.

While all of this was happening, Drew's eyes were looking downfield the entire time.

I thought that was simply amazing. I don't think he even blinked once. That is the true definition of ICE.

I want see that again.

These are the things he brings to our table. I can't see us without him. He has put us from being a sorry team to being feared and I thank him for that.

Around the 2:58 mark on this video.

That was very cool, when they were playing it in slow-mo. You could see it, awesome!!

Yes that was pretty awesome.

I think that is some major insight to Drew's success is never stop looking down field even when you are in the hands of the enemy whatever you have to do is look down field. No distractions should take your eyes off down field.

You see the opposite in younger QB's and average QB's. As soon as they are rushed they start looking at a way out... a place to run, and not down field.

i see a bit of a double edge sword here...1st...DREW BREES IS AWESOME...BUT... it means if he were to be injured, the drop off would be even bigger than any of us realize....please Drew dont ever get hurt, or retire..lol

I caught it too as Gruden got his groupie game on as he gave a frame by frame play of his eyes and it was always down field. They may put that in the QB manual.

Yep, Saw that Monday night. Amazing to keep that much concentration with 1000 pounds of linemen trying to kill you.

Drew's agility and footwork is just amazing too just to be able to avoid those tackles all while looking downfield.

dizzle88 11-30-2011 09:58 AM

Brees has always had incredible footwork, he says its due to him playing a lot of tennis when he was younger.
It was an incredible play by our legend QB, he was not going to be denied a first down on that play.

If you watch brees closely when he's back to pass, he has a 6th sense about the pass rush and how close it is, he climbs the pocket so well whilst keeping his eyes downfield. Always knows what happening around him

Plus having a running game doesnt hurt

73Saint 11-30-2011 10:28 AM

Brees has the best game face in football.

FireVenturi 11-30-2011 11:33 AM

Championship!

UK_WhoDat 11-30-2011 11:33 AM

That man is a machine

homerj07 11-30-2011 11:42 AM

Not only that but he escapes the sack & then stiff arms-jukes the other defender before he threw the ball. He has a "6th" sense for the defenders.

Maybe he does see "dead people" becasue that is about what the Giants are at this point!

Mardigras9 11-30-2011 12:47 PM

That was awesome.
