The NFL's annual job fair is just about over, but we're going out with a bang. Linebackers worked out, and I must say this may very well be the fastest group of linebackers ever. There are guys that ran as low as 5.45 and a bunch of guys under 4.65. Teams will be licking their chops come April after this eye-opening experience.

Of note, five linebackers really made an impact thanks to their times in the 40-yard dash. Auburn's Dontarrious Thomas (241 pounds), Oklahoma's Teddy Lehman (240 pounds), Washington's Marcus Cooper and Kansas State's Josh Buhl all ran under 4.6. Notre Dame's Courtney Watson, however, beat them all and ran the 40 in 4.53 seconds. Outstanding results.

Thomas' time was the biggest surprise. He definitely earned money today!

I personally really like Teddy Lehman if he\'s still available at our first pick of the second round. But after watching Josh Buhl single handedly crush OU in the big 12 title game, I don\'t see him lasting into round 3. Either of those guys could be great 2nd round pick-ups. Provided of course that they are still around in the second round. Vilma is going to have to have a superb workout to hang on to his #1 LB status it seems.

Even Saints head coach Jim Haslett pulled me aside and said with a smile that he has to keep up with our work on NFL.com to help him and his staff out. I doubt that, but at least we know they\'re reading!

Haslett reads?
I hope he\'s reading, maybe he could get a few pointers from somewhere. Now if we could just get someone to take him aside about all those 2 pointers.... :P

Bout time someone else in this place sang the praises of Lehman. My hopes are 1. Vilma 2a. Lehman 2b. Colclough. Vilma is the brain we need to run this defense.

Agreed, BnB.

I\'ll have the linebacker with a side of linebackers, please.
