It has got to be hard to have 3 (4) good running backs & figuring out what to do with them.

BUT we should NOT have a problem like we did last year. We will have some healthy RBs as the playoffs start & that is VERY VERY important!!

PT thought is the better RB.
id actually rather see less PT. i think ingram is already the better of the 2 and is only getting better with more touches

i dont think we are being force fed doses of ingram.....i think we are just starting to utilize him a little more because everyone is realizing how good he actually is

I think that's why he was given the extra touches also. I definitely would like to see PT fair touches every game... but a W is a W. PT is use to how he's used and he understands his role. PT will always be one of those guys(for me at least) where you wonder how good could he have been if given 20+ touches a game. He's just so productive when he touches the ball.

Fixed that for you.

PT has better field vision and already knows how to slip-shed tacklers.
Ingram is still getting hit square and stood up, pushed backwards at the end of runs.
He's still learning and that's good, but PT, at the moment, is the better back.

I have been thinking that Payton might be kind of squirreling Thomas away in his vest pocket, in the hopes that other teams will kinda forget about him or overlook him later in the season...teams will get so focused on stopping Igram, Graham and Sproles, that Thomas can kind of slip in there and make things happen when it NEEDS to get done...like the game-winning touchdown drive in the Panthers game: I'm convinced that was a setup -- that Payton called the plays so that the Carolina defense were stressing out about stopping Sproles, Ingram and the wide receivers...all game long Thomas was mostly just being used as a plain vanilla handoff type runner... and then BOOM, short right pass to Thomas for the TD, it seems to have caught them off guard.

I'd hate to say it but I think PT is going to be on the trade block pretty soon. He's a proven stud, he's been a lil' banged up but gives his all every touch. I think the SAINTS will go with Sproles, Ingram, and Ivory as our backup. I wish you the best of luck PT.

He'd be a big hit on the salary cap:

Not much trade value in an "injury-prone" back.

I say play them all for maximum inflicted trauma!!
