New Orleans Saints vs. Tennessee Titans - Intel Report - December 11, 2011 - ESPN

I started to get tickets to go see this one, but work got in the way.

Should be a good warmup for outdoor games that we may have in the playoffs...

Time to get it going on the road. Tennessee on the road is a competitive venue especially with the heady Hasselbeck and now emerging CJ2K. This would be a good confidence builder.

I'm concerned about the grass and the cleats and the footing.
Little things like that can affect routes and cuts, and the ability to plant and chage direction.
Half-a-step really makes a difference at this level of the game.
It may be the difference between a great catch or making a great play on the ball.
I know CJ won't have a problem with it, and I hope we get there in time to figure out the nuances.
It can be a real distraction to have to change cleats 3 times.

I think teams are starting to catch on to the saints checking out of a run defense and dropping back our linebackers.their offense is checking into a run play and gaining like 10 yards a play. We're losing the "chess match" out there.

9 - 3 says otherwise

I'm concerned about the playoffs. All it takes is one bad game and that's it. Teams are always watching film and coming up with blue print for success. We need to keep our defense off the field. If this continues, I see it haunting us in January. Of course we do a lot of good things out there but I just want to tighten a few things up

the Packers defense is as bad if not worse than ours and they're doing pretty damn good. Our offense is playing better than theirs in this 2nd half of the season. I think we would all like a better playing defense and they are showing improvement, but I don't see it as necessary...

We're ranked 27th in total defense and the Packers are 31st. That doesn't deter their chances or fan's hope of them being a lock for the Superbowl.

Why should we be so worried?

Hell the Jaguars rank 5th, Browns 8th, and Redskins 9th.

Hey I feel a lot better now that I look at it that way. LETS GO N.O.!!!!

one man's take:

NEW ORLEANS SAINTS (9-3, 3-3 road) at TENNESSEE TITANS (7-5, 4-2 home) Time: 1:00pm ET
Opening line: New Orleans -4.5
Current line: New Orleans -3.5
Current betting trends: 93% of the public is currently backing the Saints.

Analysis: Uh-oh. It looks like we have another potential trap game on our hands as the red-hot Saints travel to Tennessee to take on a Titans team that is still very much alive in the AFC playoff hunt.

93% of the early action has come in on the Saints, which means that oddsmakers should be moving the line up—but they aren’t. In fact, the spread for this game has actually moved one point towards the Titans, once again indicating that some big cheese has been placed on Tennessee.

Will a suddenly reborn Chris Johnson pave the way for a Tennessee upset? New Orleans has covered the line in four straight contests, but is just 2-4 ATS on the road this season. I’m sure you all remember their two big letdowns at Tampa Bay and St. Louis.

Meanwhile, the Titans have quietly covered in four straight games and are 5-0 ATS in their last five games as a home underdog of 3.5-10.0.

Interesting trends: New Orleans is 1-6 ATS in their last seven games as a road favorite, while the Titans are 9-2 ATS in their last 11 games as a home underdog.

The pick: Screw the trends. I’ll ride with the red-hot Saints (-3.5).

Our losses, outside of GB, was offensive bad days. If the Packers had a off day offensively, they will lose. Both teams compensate for week D's.

AHHH - Stop talking abiout the playoffs - I agree with ora.

Lets just go on game at a time!! Lets worry about this game. Training staff & managers have got to be ready for a plethera of field types. WHo knows what we will get.

CJ will get his yards against us - we need to stop them from scoring or keep them to FGs

We need to minimize our mistakes & force & THEN capitilize on their mistakes!!
