Brees passed for 342 yards and three touchdowns in Sunday's win over the Detroit Lions and became the first quarterback with over 4,000 passing yards in the opening 12 games of a season, putting him on course to beat Dan Marino's season record of 5,084 yards with four game still to play.

Some more numbers that indicate the Saints are a team Aaron Rodgers and the Packers should be concerned about meeting in the post-season?

In the past two games the Saints have outscored fellow playoff contenders Detroit and the New York Giants by a combined 80-41 margin while putting up 1,015 total yards of offence.

In 2009 I think we all knew how good the team was. and sometimes the old doubt hit , its ok. We still believed in the boys, but never believed it was possible for us as fans.
2011 I think we all know this is even a better offense than in 2009, and worried about the defense. Worried about the weather we have to play in.
Ill say it, we have a better offense than the Packers, and Im sure they know that. SP has done his job, again.
We as fans can only support the team, meet them at the airport and such. It may be that we as fans are not doing our job and the 1 SB has made us lazy.
Our offense is better our defense is suspect, but I think so are the fans. There are very little videos sense 2009, songs, effort, things that sustain a team.
Just a thought

Saints proved that pigs could fly in 2009.
Now its time for another miracle SuperBowl and go where no pig has gone before.

The only difference between our defense this year vs 2009 is that in 2009 we made the pick when it hit our hands. Turnovers is the only difference. Remember the first play of the playoff game against the Cardnials, Hightower rips off a 75 yard TD run. We gave up a lot of yards on defense but also came up with big turnovers which we are not making this year. Sharper alone had 2 95+ yard picks for TD's which says our D gave up the yards but we made a play when it counted. Again Sunday night we dropped at least 3 picks. Our D-backs need to learn how to hold on to the ball and then our D will be exactly like 2009. Not great but good enough to get the job done!

The differece to me this year vs. 2009 is Gregg Williams. I see no fire in his eyes or actions, he looks like a scared puppy when the other team has the ball. I miss his fire from 2009 and I hope he can find a way to find it.

Our offense is really on pace now. Only misfire was St. Louis, and the team has been completely different after that game.

Budsdrinker nailed it. Imagine how different we'd feel about the D if they were catching those gimme ints that they keep dropping. We'd probably have one maybe two more wins and be looking at a 2 seed.

As long as Drew is done with INT streak he always bunches together every year we are sitting good. Defense? not going there
