You guys really scare me

If we play you in the playoffs that will be interesting. I really don't want to see you guys in the postseason but to be the best we will have to beat the best. You guys have a great football team down there and I have lots of respect for you. SF is overrated so I think you guys will beat them. If you play them in your dome you will blow them out but out there that might be tough for you. Good luck to the Saints going forward. See you in the postseason.

73Saint 12-13-2011 02:42 PM

Yeah you guys scare me too! Much more so in December than in September!!

Good luck, and here's to no more injuries....for either team!!!

Arodgers12 12-13-2011 02:45 PM

Another thing is Rodgers wasnt taking any shots at the Saints. It was directed toward the media after our opening day game about the offseason workouts. I promise you guys that. Hope there are no hard feelings about this topic between the two teams. If we play in the playoffs I know we will both hate each other come game time. I know that will be a great game if we play. I can just feel Lambeau in January against the High powered Saints offense. Don't you guys just get fired up thinking about it?

papz 12-13-2011 02:52 PM

I'm thinking more about securing the 2 seed than playing GB right now.

Mardigras9 12-13-2011 02:59 PM

We are just about mirror images of each other. Should be interesting if we see each other in January.

Love it when intelligent people visit from opposing teams.
Thanks for joining up.

I think the Saints gave the Pack some nail biting moments in the first game - moments you guys haven't seen much since then. Our last drive fell short, good play by your defense, but our run game wasn't as developed then as it is now.

Do you think you guys will start sitting players before the playoff run? Or do you anticipate them continuing to play starters?

darstep 12-13-2011 03:02 PM

Another shooter if it comes to that.
It won't end 13-10.
I just hope we keep our heads down, take care of our business,
and let Lambeau come as it may.

WhoDat!656 12-13-2011 03:10 PM

I am more concerned about how the Saints will respond playing in the extreme cold than the Packers right now!!

halloween 65 12-13-2011 03:30 PM

If I were a Green Bay fan, which I am NOT, I would not want to face us either, we have to take care of some more buisness and I pray we will get a chance to revenge that loss. But also your team will have to take care of your buisness also. I would love for a Saints- Packer 2, especially in Green Bay. Bye for now!!!!!

halloween 65 12-13-2011 03:44 PM

Hey! Wait til' I tell Aaron Rodgers joined the Black and Gold, I knew he knows a winner when he sees one, the Saints newest secret admirer.

Budsdrinker 12-13-2011 03:59 PM

It's just a shame that the 2 best teams can't face each other in the Super Bowl!!

AlaskaSaints 12-13-2011 04:18 PM

I LIVE for it. I got stared down at an airport by a Packers-jacketed fan on the tram yesterday in Seattle, of all places. I had to look away. He had me and he knew it.

I hate that feeling. Last night the wife says, "Do you believe they booked this for a Monday Night Game?", referring to Rams / Chickens. I responded, "Do you believe that those two teams represent 2 of our last 4 losses?". LOL But it wasn't funny... If you know what I'm sayin'...

Michigan_SF 12-13-2011 06:39 PM

When someone makes a thread here about being scared, the Saints come out with a win. Now it's all destiny!

homerj07 12-13-2011 07:14 PM

Lets NOT count our chickens before they are hatched...

LETS -

1. JUST WIN BABY!! (I think if we win out we get #2 seed)

2. Concentrate on getting that #2 seed & not worrying about anythig else (including records for Drew - the only thing I want to see Drew with is another Super Bowl MVP)

SaintsBro 12-13-2011 07:34 PM

Scary thing about Packers/Saints rematch: the two things that did in the Saints the first time, turnovers (Colston fumble) and short-yardage running game (last play). BOTH have IMPROVED noticeably for the Saints since opening night.

jcp026 12-13-2011 07:42 PM

Thanks. I doubt anyone down here wants to play you either. I certainly don't.

pumpkindriver 12-13-2011 08:54 PM

Hey, Remember back in the early 90's when the cows and 9ers were always playing in the NFCCG? We all knew that was the real SB and who ever won it was gonna cream the AFC opponent. And they did too. If we meet the Packer's for the NFCCG, it will have that same feel to it.

I don't even think we gave it a second thought, most knew what he was talking about,,,err I hope. I now there were some threads but they didn't last long.

Saints fans are kind of unusual in the NFL Arod. Most teams fans love coming to the Dome to play. We really don't hate anyone. We make fun of cantlana because their fans are like philly fans, they are just mindless idiots, remember they egged your bus when you played them.
We get pissed when we not treated well, like in Chicago 2006, or some say seahawks game. Otherwise New Orleans is just a huge football town. Most of us want to play the best. We wanted the Colts in the SB.
..and most of us want to play the Pack again, because we had Moore,Smith, and Tracey Porter out for that opener, and Rodgers passed against our rookie robinson all day.
I think it would be the game of the year if we can pull off #2 seed and play a NFC Championship in Lambeau. I just hope the weather doesn't get in the way, otherwise we will never know who is better. We love football not snow.

But I'm still on the fence of wether I want a complete blizzard , because I think that might give us an advantage, because of our OL and RB's, and limits the long plays. Im just not sure the Pack can run against us in that kind of situation,,,,so they will be forced to short pass down the field....
..or clear non windy weather.
I guess god will decide the situation, lol, our boys just need to be ready to play in any environment. I think we all know the Pack will be ready for it. We only worry about the constant whining of bad fans, like the Vikequeens ,failclowns, Phallus CowToys and Dream Team, because their fans are even worse if they win.
I didn't hear any bad things about Lambeau in our 1st game. Just make sure your fans know we are their to have fun and watch a football game, some of us with families, so act like sportsmen.

SmashMouth 12-13-2011 09:07 PM

A rematch? Absolutely ... are we scared? Heck no! More like chomping at the bit! Just a gut feeling ... but I like our chances in the rematch, even if it is in Green Bay. Please make sure they go undefeated. We would love nothing better than to blemish that record for you.

In order to get the #2 seed we have to have a better record than the 49ers. They have the tie breakers if we end up with the same record. With a bit of luck the Steelers will beat them and we won't have a meltdown in Minnesota.

Saintswrath 12-14-2011 03:39 AM

Classy post by the only other most respected fan-base outside of the Saints i like so much..
I hate you guys for being good or as good as my Saints team but you guys have a great and knowledgeable fan-base, sometimes i wish we could trade some of our fan's for some of you guy's..
For the most part i haven't met any totally arrogant Cheese heads, you guys are just passionate about your team as we are.. i admire that... Good luck with your team until we meet again.

pherein 12-14-2011 03:55 AM

WR/TE core, and QB is pretty even with Green Bay , we have a much better OL, but if I were GB fans Id worry about these guys, as giving us the edge. We just have to cover their WR/TE core, they have to cover that and our RB's.

Probably one of the most underrated RB in the NFL

funny you would mention that, and I'm glad you cleared it up. I noticed the comments, and thought Rogers was being a real smartazz. In context, it makes more sense now.

I've always liked the Packers, and especially their fans. Weather and roof/lack of roof aside, we're actually VERY similiar, probably the most similiar of any 2 teams:

1. We're two of the smallest markets in the NFL. In other leagues, our teams would already have abandoned us. Fortunately, the NFL has a good structure.

2. In both cases the FANBASE far exceeds the "market." You cant get fill a stadium in Los Angeles, but we're both sold out, and have waiting lists in the 10's of thousands.

You have people driving in from all over up there to go to Packers games. We have fans all over the Gulf Coast, and this was before the Saints ever won a damn thing. You see 4 times as much Saints stuff in Houston as you do Texans. And the entire state of Mississippi is "black and gold."

I remember when the Packers were weak, their fans still packed Lambeau. You guys had some lean years in the 70's and early 80s.

3. I guarantee your fans and our fans are #1 and #2 and lead the league in STUFF. You've got cheeseheads and cheese bras, we have Fleur de Lis everything you can imagine. Im sure you have one room in your house dedicated solely to your Packers stuff. We all have one too. I also have
enough Saints apparel to wear something different every day, and my truck
looks like a rolling pep rally.

4. Nobody wants to play in our house.

Great teams, great fans, big fun, and I think everyone would like to see a Saints/Packers NFC Championship.

That should be a term paper, Mike.

You'd get an A+.

No sir. THE most underrated RB in the NFL by far.

skymike 12-14-2011 04:37 PM

I'll tell you what else I like about Green Bay.

Anytime somebody wants to tear down a perfectly good stadium, because the namby pambys think football fans need a Disney-fied "experience," plush
seating, and "amenities," just point to Lambeau and tell them to shut up.

metal bleachers, and below freezing weather.... and you cant keep the fans out. Screw amenities. I like football.
