Since there is no way for the Saints to get the #1 seed, the Saints are motivated to win out in case 49ers drop one or two so they can get the #2 seed and have at least one home playoff game.

There will be no repeat of the lambs game for the rest of the year for the Saints!!

I could see Payton having all 4 RBs active for the playoffs, which would give the Packers fits!!

I think we can beat the packers NOW!! We have different O line, we figured out how we will use Darren Sproles, our offense is better and don't forget the PACKERS brought back their entire team so they were more familiar with what they could do. At this point in the season, I just have to say that we have made a ton of mistakes in our defensive personel drafting and signing.

For a team with 4, first round draft picks on DL not getting to the QB and getting sacks or even pressure is just unacceptable. We are going to have to change our thinking in what we look for in D-Linemen and completely retool.

At LB, it's clear that Vilma is beginning to fade and refuses to change his tackling technique which has become a liability. Shanle is as average as it gets at LB, and Cassillas is so up and down, you don't know what you're gonna get from play to play. I will admit that lately, I've been somewhat impressed with what I've seen from Dunbar and Humber. I'd love to see our LB corps try Dunbar at MLB, Move Vilma to WLB and Humber to SAM and see how that works out. Seems like it might be pretty formidable.

I think the experiment of moving Tracey Porter to the slot has been a disaster. It has hurt his development tremendously and we definitely miss his INT's from the corner spot. PRob needs to be traded or cut and replaced as does Harper. I'm beginning to think a combination of Jenkins and Qudus would be our best bet at the safety positions and Jimmy Patrick can take the nickle DB spot, but in reality, this defense is in need of a complete overhaul and some definite playmakers added before we waste our window of opportunity for Super Bowl Wins

At 42-34, neither defense beat anybody.

Hold an NFL team to 15 or less - you got something.

If the Saints Defense can hold to 20 pts - it a win.

Just sayin'!

Packers beat us without Will Smith and Tracy Porter due to suspension and injury.

Which proves the title of this post!!

The Saints defense didn't stop Packers from scoring TD after the fumble; the Packers defense did its job when it mattered.

The Saints will be playing the defending Super Bowl champions in their house, on a bitterly cold day.

Saints defense plays like it did against Titans, (and a few other teams), the Saints will be 1-2 in NFCC games!!

Agree!...but if the Packers defense plays like it did against a few teams (NYG, SD, TB...) then their quest to be 2-0 in NFCC games will come to a halt.

Yes they are undefeated and we all know that, but that type of defense will not get it done in the playoffs either. So, I say our chances are still as good (maybe even better) as they were before.

WHO DAT!

Watch any Packer matchup with the Saints be a defensive battle and look more like a baseball score since the game will be played in a 20 foot snow drift.

The irony is that the Saints are better equipped for winter conditions than the Packers are because the Saints can run the ball much better.

I'd say if P-rob doesn't get any better then he needs to be cut, but you don't cut/trade a player like Roman Harper, he is our best tackler, he leads the NFL in sacks from safety for the past 4 years, yeah his coverage skills arent the best but we chose Cameron Jordan thinking he'd be an awesome all rounder and he hasn't even got within 5 yards of a QB yet, nevermind a sack.

Dunbar impressed me, he played really well. I don't like to say it but, the past couple seasons whenever you see Vilma on tape he would really stand out, not so much this season, i don't know if the injuries have slowed him

I would say we know this. But how and when ?
