Brees ends Contract talks for now

What IS a good thing is that our talent scouts find talent in the low places and then make them feel lucky to be on a winning team. They sell Sense of Belonging. Same way the Marines sell bootcamp! LOL

The Saints have signed Sean Payton for 5 more, believe me...They will get a deal done for Brees. It is the media blowing this out of proportion. The Saints Management know what they have and what they stand to lose without Brees.

There is no way the front office and Rita Benson(yep, she's running the show not Tom) lets him go. No way that they use the franchise tag on him either. This deal will get done long before camp.
I like that Drew stopped negotiations so as not to become a distraction. That's my kind of leader.

It actually gets worse. Its not unheard of this to happen, and sickens me to say, but a franchise like Dallas or Washington can offer Drew way more money than we ever could. I know its not a good thought and would be devastating to our ball club. Just don't want people taking Drew for granted. If he breaks these records or we win a SB, every NFL team who has money will offer him more.He would be even cooler to stay here, considering what he can get on the open market.
So, if he signs please thank the man,lol, send him a letter or do something :)

Franchise Tag = anger :) = 0 change of 2013

They (us hornets fans) said the same about Chris Paul, now look at him. Not saying Drew is the same, but you know he did revitalize our franchise, the guy could possibly be looking into more money and a stronger foundation to retire on. I pray that's not true, but don't dismiss it. Wouldn't be the first time this happened in the NFL.
