From the Vi-Queens message board

This is abut the funniest thing I have read in quite a while....

"Watching this, it's hard to believe the guys on both sides are getting paid to do this. Really, the Vikes look like they're the sparring partner for the Saints, or those guys who go on the Star Trek missions who serve as cannon fodder when someone has to die to prove something is actually dangerous."

Mwah Ha Ha!!

foreverfan 12-18-2011 03:22 PM

Hard to believe that Brett Farve made that team look good.

There's some good players over there. They've just given up for the season. Baltimore was the last team in my memory to be able to do anything with a lame assed QB. They have enough talent to be right back in the race with a good acquisition or two in the off season.

RockyMountainSaint 12-18-2011 03:39 PM

Maybe Chili wasn't the only problem there.............

GAwhodat 12-18-2011 03:43 PM

IT was pretty bad but heck they are only 2-11

They got great building blocks on O with Harvin, Peterson, Gerhart and 2 intriguing young QBS. They need to shore up their OL thou. Allen is very lonely on defence and especially their backfield is a mess. Kinda looks like ours did 5 years ago....

They were on their 5th and 6th string CB's.

That team has talent. A few key additions and they'll be competive again.

They played nearly everyone on their schedule tough. I can see them win 8 to 10 games next year.

Now im looking forward to the Steelers winning tomorrow night! I seriously doubt we will see Rodgers play another game til the play offs.... He took a beating today... But Brees looked outstanding! He is truly, "tha man".....

The Vikings have been in my review mirror ever since week 1 of the 2010 season...I think Payton kinda has it in for them, personally, since the shoulda-woulda-coulda game he lost to them relatively early in his career...I actually lost a decent friend who was a Vikings fan, because of the back-to-back NFC Championship and week one beatings in 2009-2010...he unfriended me on Facebook (only friend who's ever done so) after the 2010 opener game...I was bummed but oh well!

Notes on the Minnesomalia Vikings:

On the bright side: They have TWICE as many wins as the Colts, our other conquest-rival.

The dim side: Their best defensive player, that total HICK, Jared Allen, was absolutely useless against Drew Brees and out O-Line. How's your ride home through Minnesomalia this afternoon, redneck?

Speaking of Jarred Allen, a top tier DE whether we like it or not, Bushrod held him in check today. Bushrod is becoming a solid left tackle for the Saints. He probably deserves his own thread.

Bushrod held him back and Jarred Allen wasn't a factor whatsoever in the game.

Payton was sending help to Bushrod all game long... Graham liked to have chip blocked Allen out of his shoes on one replay I saw.

Right. And we rolled away from him a number of times too.

It was a smart game plan Payton had today.

Got to admit it...That was the whole thing in a nutshell. Payton knew how to attack em & win!

I saw a few plays where it was Bushrod vs Allen one on one and Bushrod won every time. The guy is becoming a solid left tackle. Maybe not elite, but solid.

homerj07 12-19-2011 08:36 PM

Knock on wood!! Slow & sure & Bushrod is doing better.
