ROME: you're 304 yards short of Marino's record, missed back in 2008.

BREES: the record has lasted a long time. [Brees] feels fortunate to play in this system, so many good players around him. It's a record that would link the whole team together.

ROME: How does everyone stay happy?

BREES: Payton's planning. Try to get guys open and spread it around as much as you can. You ID the matchup and weaknesses and go after that. [Brees] didn't know Lance would have 2TDs or Colston would have 91 yards, some of it just happens.

ROME: Graham is such a freak. How much better can he get?

BREES: He's a gifted athlete. A guy who hasn't played much in his life. There's a skill to the TE position and Graham is playing already at a high level. Work ethic, competitiveness, gets motivated by mistakes. He apologizes for mistakes on the sideline.

ROME--how does the road win affect the team?

BREES--We did stupid things at STL. We don't want that to be our reputation. Saints remphasized 3rd down and little things.


ROME--Contract talks? Will you end career in NO?

BREES-We'll get a deal done. [Brees] just wants to focus on football now and eliminate distractions.

ROME--What do you think about Tebow?

BREES--Tebow stands for faith, leadership, work ethic. Tebow has come through many times this year, is exciting to watch. [Brees] thinks it's fun to watch. Tebows (not sure if he said that or Broncos) are rolling right now. Good football.

He just said a deal will get done, right now all he cares about is winning another championship. The contract will come in the offseason, just relax and wait for him and the Saints to agree to terms

Good to hear Drew getting more well deserved press, but Im too old for Rome. Its probably time for him to start talking like hes 40-something, instead of like he's talking to teenagers on the internet.
