Ingram may play Monday Night

New Orleans Saints: Injury's short before Falcons, RB Ingram may return

Why play Mark Ingram when you have "the physical Chris Ivory"?

When you go down, it's your turn to sit, right?

If Ingram had NOT come down with turf toe, I'm sure he'd still be playing each week, but...

I'm jus' sayin'...

They gonna waive Canfield again?? LOL.

Coach Payton may have to have 4 RB's active then so he can ease Ingram back in and not just give him a full work load. Ingrams going to be a special player though, he just needs to learn to read his blocks better.

Ivory had the same problem as a rookie, first couple games can everyone remember Ivory running 100mph straight into the back of our o lineman sometimes and not getting any yardage, after a year under his belt he knows how to manipulate the rush to find a hole, sometimes with a side step or a slight hesitation, Ingram will learn that soon and he will be awesome

But as a first round pick, more is expected immediatley especially with the limited life of an NFL running back...

I like Ingram, but as a first round pick, this year's results have been disappointing with the exception of the 3rd/4th down conversion rate...

Big Sed better get off his big a$$ and get with the program, and I have not noticed Casillas gone, I have noticed that our D is playing better. I think we have the option to rest Ingram and we should, Ivory has done an excellent job as usual and is just about at game speed. Ivory and Ingram together could pound the rock against any D to wear their butts out. I like the running back by committee thing it gives us a lot of options.

I'd like to see Ivory get another chance to bust some people up. He still doesn't look up to last year's (pre-injury) form, but I'm seeing that as the lack of snaps.

As long as Ingram doesn't get FEATURE-BACK-ITIS! Like his predecessor, when he finds his feet he may want to be paid for finding his feet...

Heisman wages!

Mark Ingram (turf toe) did not participate in Friday's practice and is not expected to play in Week 16.

Coach Sean Payton revealed that Ingram picked up his workout regimen, but he was not available for team drills and probably won't be active Monday night barring a dramatic change over the weekend. Look for Pierre Thomas and Chris Ivory to share the workload Ingram would normally receive against Atlanta.

Let him heal up for the playoffs.

We are SO blessed this year compared to last.

Would one of you DOCTORS please explain turf-toe for us?

I'm not a doctor but I do stay at the Holliday Inn from time to time. lol

AlaskaSaints 12-23-2011 06:25 PM

Checked with a Chiropractor buddy of mine --

"Could be a couple things. Most commonly, it is an overly 'bending back' of the big toe like when playing on artificial turf causing a sprain of the metatarsal pharyngeal joint."

He suggests lazer treatments, and bets Ingram is not getting them. The lazer stimulates the fleshy tissues increasing blood flow, therefore healing.

I know I have been reeming ivory for the injuries but he has played well and I think he matches up better against clowns than Ingram does.

I really disagree with disappointing...you kinda finalized your concern with what he has been asked to do 3rd and 4th down. They call on him and he does. While it is great to have so many good rb's
none of them get enough carries to get their groove going. He has only had a couple of big runs, but I think he has done his job. A stand out year...no, an effective year....yes. I think he is averaging at about 3.9 yds per carry and Ivory 4.1 yards per carry.
