Package of Violence

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; If I didn't know any better I'd say Gruden has a fleur de lis tattooed on his chest. Even when he was still coaching, he's been pumping black and gold hard... which is understandable....

I caught "package of violence" too," and thought it was hilarious. Its funny, but he really wasnt on that play, as he stumbled forward for a nice gain, but didnt impose his weight on anyone, and in fact, looked like he was going to injure himself with an awkward fall on his foot.

but i like it.

I actually like Gruden, now that he's not the Bucs coach anymore, and Tirico is really an underrated talent. With these two guys, I can now even stomach Jaws, who used to annoy me to no end.

Nevertheless, I wish I could hear Dandy, Cosell, and Gifford one more time. Maybe they could hire Frank Caliendo, and two other top notch impressionists, and have them be serious-- not as a joke, but as a tribute-- have them call a game in the voices and persona's of the original MNF crew. Crazy idea, huh? What will I
think of next? How about a guy who kinda looks and sings like (the old, fat version of) Elvis, and wears an
outrageous costume? That would be so original.

IMO Tirico is tops among his peers. Al Michaels is good, but he's become bland, and having to work with Chris doesn't help him much. Somebody else said the MNF crew is the best in the business right now. I 100% agree with that.

I agree,
Then Aikmen/Buck, then SNF, then maybe Tim Ryans crew

I don't dislike Collinsworth as much as I used to. I'm enjoying his irreverant style more and more. I used to despise him more than any announcer ever.

My favorite from Chris... :“Take it from a guy who cheated his whole career, you just can’t do it!”

**** SkyMike, he was still bustin' into people while he was stumblin' forward.

My dad and I'd watch MNF with Dandy, Howard and Frank every week. No matter how much we were wasting our time arguing over hair and politics and other stupid stuff, it all stopped when Howard started talking. It was some of the best time we ever spent together. I certainly do miss them all.

Gruden, Trico and Jaws could announce every game on tv if it were up to me. Gruden's explanations of plays even help my wife sort of understand what's going on. That's right up there with "Sainthood" in my book!
