Johnny U's record next on the list

Just read where Unitas's record was set back in 1960. By the time Brees breaks the record next year (hopefully), it will have been 52 years that the record would have stood.
I'm assuming that playoffs games don't count - anyone know for sure?

If postseason games do count, and we go to the Superbowl, that put Brees tying the record in the Superbowl, and breaking the record during the first game of the 2012 season, probably another rematch with the Packers! If he throws a TD in each game, that is.

and, the next record is most completions in a season. I think Drew needs 7-8 more
