Meanwhile, Young arrived in New Orleans on Wednesday for a visit with the Saints. He then plans to visit Atlanta, Denver and San Francisco. Interestingly, Chicago - where former Rams defensive coordinator Lovie Smith is now head coach - was not on the list. At least not as of Wednesday afternoon.

With a limited amount of salary cap space, and other priorities (Orlando Pace, Wistrom, Adam Timmerman), the Rams are resigned to losing Young, who registered 102 tackles and two sacks and tied a franchise record with five fumble recoveries last season. Young appears to be one of the Saints' priority free agents. They're looking for a blue-collar type with talent who can provide a good example for younger players such as defensive tackle Johnathan Sullivan.

This sounds to me that the Rams would like to keep Young aboard and at the right price this would be a good pick up for the Saints. This would not only fill a need but give the team a young, explosive defensive line. With the addition of a starting middle linebacker with some range and speed capable of playing the run (Vilma, Williams, Gold), this could add up to be a very respectable front seven.
