I hope this guy doesn't get paid to write crap like this. Like one of the responses said "Where do they get these guys?"

I couldn't even read all that crap. That guy is just pissed off because his beloved Fail-cons got the total snot beat out of them Monday night.

"But Payton, Brees and Saints Nation should consider themselves lucky that on the final drive, some Falcon defender nursing a deep ego bruise didn’t take his frustration out on Brees’s skull, or ribcage, or knee."

This guy is only wishing that someone injured Brees on the last drive. He's just hoping that Payton sits Brees for the last game so Brady can pass him and claim the record. That's how pissed off he is about the ass woopin the Falcons recieved at the hands of Brees. Whatever it takes so Brees doesn't end up with the record.

He obviously forgot that we have 3 pro bowl offensive linemen. Drew will be fine.

Seriously, though, I don't think it's so much about keeping the record as trying to get the #2 seed. I know it's a longshot to hope that the Rams beat the 49ers, but hey... They beat us...

Why wouldnt Payton start Brees when the 49ers dont have the 2 seed locked up yet? You play to win and better your playoff seeding until its sewed up. If the Rams are getting slaughtered by the half then you protect your starters, all records aside

Brees nearly had his helmet torn completely off from his head and there was no flag...

Atlanta has no business being p/o anyways as they didn't "slow it down" against Jacksonville last week...

And if any defenders want to try to put Brees out with a cheapshot, then I would hope Nicks or Evans would realize most of their new earning power is because of Brees ability to make them look better with his play and they could just as easily "high-low" someone out of their career if they want to cross the line...
