Is this the guy that was in the news for stealing a car or something?

Former Falcon standout and present Falcons Color Analyst Jeff Van Note was on our SaintsReport show today. Bil asked him that being that he covers the Falcons and watches them closely, to give us the lowdown on Juran Bolden. Here are some paraphrased (since I only took mental notes) highlights..

1) Bolden got the stolen vehicle from his AGENT and was making payments to the agent on the vehicle. Apparently it was his agent that was duped. Charges will likely be dropped.

2) Bolden has never been in trouble before, has a great personality, is very well liked by his coaches and team-mates, is an engaging and intelligent person. Not a locker-room problem at all. Gets along with everyone.

3) Is a REAL good CB. Is a big playmaker. Tough kid! The talk about him being stiff in the hips/slow to get turned around is nonsense, he is a darn good corner. Injuries are the thing that has given him down time.

D) The Falcons tried to re-sign him in January. Many teams want him but most are waiting for the legal problems to be settled.

He\'s the one BlackandBlue. I think the story has gotten out of hand. My son-in-law in Atlanta said Bolden is not directly involved but his agent is the person who bought a stolen car and Bolden bought it from his agent and was making payments on it. It is kind of difficult to believe a football player in these times would need to steal a car but we will see. I hope he is innocent and we get him.

I just checked, and this guy has never started a complete season. Just FYI, I\'m not trying to draw the ire of the folks here who think I do nothing but dog every move the team makes or anything.
On a side note, he looks like he could really make an impact if he could start every game, and I love his size. Anyone know hoe fast he is?

He took the long way here, JUCO, Canada-CFL, and he\'s finally coming into his own. A late bloomer.

How fast is he? He ran down Deuce from 5 yards behind.

That was the guy??? D-A-M-N, he\'s got some wheels.

EDIT: you are talking about the guy that stripped the ball, correct?

Thats him.
Also, we\'re not talking Woodson type money here either. This guy would sign cheap. He\'s a playmaker. Injuries have killed this guy. I think he was the one who broke his leg(???) in the 2001 playoffs and missed the GB? game. Not sure which game. But he\'s made a quick recovery. He\'s a blue collar playmaker.

His nickname in the ATL is Bigstick because he hits soo hard. At least I think that\'s his nickname. It might be Bighit.
