Path to the Superbowl

Ok, fellow WhoDats!

We beat the Lions at home... Then travel to the Whiners, beat them and make them pay for the ghosts of Joe Montana, then likely GB in Lambeau for a birth to the big game. I like our chances.

Are you getting the fever yet?

Four and Eaux!

As I see it. Saturdays game will probably be a shoot out... With the Saints coming out on top...

Saints 42 Lions 24

Yes I feel The Lions will start out Hungry score some early points.. That seems to be the trend this year for our defense... But we will pull away in the second half and wear them out ..

Now This next game could be a lot closer.. The 49er defense has been coming up with the big plays all year long..Also the 49er offense will try to control the clock to slow our offense down some.. We will definitely need to be able to run the ball in this game to wear down the 49er defense as well.. We must avoid the dreaded turnover here as well.. with that being said ..

Saints 28 49ers 20...

Now comes the re-match we have all been waiting for Drew Brees and the Saints against Mr Rodgers and those Packers.. this no doubt could be a shoot out but then again this could depend on the weather in Green Bay..Will it be snowy, or cold and Icy... It will be very important for the Saints to establish the run game here this time around.. Both teams defenses have not been able to stop the pass, so watch out here.. This game could come down to the last team to have the ball and scores wins..

Saints 31 Packers 28

Saints GEUX back to The Super Bowl...

Whom will be their opponent ? Will it be The Patriots, Those Pescky Ravens, or will Those dam Steelers pull a Rabbit out of their Hats again..

GEAUX SAINTS!!!!

The Lions will bring it, and will probably look better than they did against us before. But like a lot of people are saying, I don't know if they can keep up with the Saints. I said back at the time, that the last Lions/Saints game was a shootout, but the Lions didn't realize it was a shootout, until the second quarter and they were already down by 17. They got the wrong script, and played the first quarter like they showed up thinking the game was going to be some kind of epic defensive struggle, of field goals and field position, while the Saints offense rolled all over them. Then they woke up and realized where they were. The Saints defense will have to use the home crowd to get some heroic stops. If the Saints can get a few good stops on D, and separate from the Lions by a touchdown or two, it will be off to the races and the Dome will be rocking.

I think San Fran at Candlestick is actually the biggest TEST for the Saints, in terms of the 49er defense....I think the 49ers would require more "game planning" and sort of, adjusting and changing what we do...a different style of ball...the Packers and Lions are both more like a "turn it on and let it rip" kind of game for the offense and defense, to just play their game, put the pedal down and play Saints ball. The 49ers defense would be more like a bank vault, that "safecracker" Drew has to turn the gears and pick the combination lock.

Going up to Green Bay would be a wild, freestyle, shootout game, kinda like the opener was, where you just kick the ball off and let 'em play, and either team could take it. I don't buy the hype or mystique of Lambeau Field AT ALL (Packers are 2-3 there in their last 5 playoff games, and LOST the coldest, most miserable one of those). I think a Packers/Saints rematch would be decided on crazy plays, the plays when SOMETHING CRAZY HAPPENS. Fumbles, punt return for TD, miracle one-hand catches, "Ambush" style onside kick, guys stripping the ball and suddenly running the other way with it, etc. I think the Saints would have a REALLY good shot at the upset in that kind of freewheeling, wide-open game.

@SaintsBro I agreed with everything I didn't quote. But just wondering, who are the three teams they lost to and which seasons do you refer to??

Thanks for the data.

Since 2001 the Packers are 3-3 at home in the playoffs losing to the Giants in 2007, Vikings in 2004 and the Fail clowns in 2002.
