SAINTS CANNOT PLAY ON THE ROAD: I don't buy it. During a mid-season slump, the Saints were not a good road team. Or home team either, for that matter. It culminated with the loss to St. Louis, and since then the Saints have shuts down some pretty respectable teams on the road --Atlanta and Tennessee. Also Minnesota, but what the heck? Granted the Saints are incredible at home, but bad on the road? Naaahhhh.

SF's DEFENSE IS IMPENETRABLE: The 49ers have a good defense. No one would question that. It would be hard not to have good defensive stats playing in the NFC West. But so much was made of the 49ers home victory over the Steelers and their less-than-50% Roethlisberger. And had the Rams been QBed by someone other than Kellen Clemens, the 49ers would most likely have been the #3 seed in the playoffs.

For sure, the 49ers are a good team. But one that has little spark or momentum right now, and one that does not live up to its press clippings. I believe that the Saints will win at Candlstick by double digits.

As long as the Saints dont have any injuries and at least one more point than 49ers, I will be happy.

The one about "the Saints can't play on the road" one is especially irritating. I don't have his updated numbers handy, but going into this season Sean Payton has something like the 4th or 5th best road record of any active NFL coach during the span of time he's been here. The claim is just not factually supported by anything.

I'm thinking that we will set a stage in the next two weeks that will have the Packers praying for snow and messing their pannies.

We should be 15-1. I honestly believe that the 2 losses to TB and STL had a little to do with SP injury and him be absent from the sidelines.

Under Payton the Saints are 31-18 on the road (including the extra road game in London in 08)

The Patriots since 2006 are 35-13 on the road.

A lot is being said about the Saints not playing well OUTSIDE. The season opener against the Packers should have put that to rest. Assuming we win the next two -- we will -- I can't wait for us to play Green Bay in the snow. That surface will favor the team with the running game. Dashing through the snow with Chris Ivory all the way.

We can beat any team any where, night or day, sun or moonlight, rain, snow or good weather, it just don't matter. The other teams have to play in the same elements we do, the only thing we will do it better.

Well let me see.
The Saints cannot play on the road...... We won 5 games (i.e. in the group that is 4th best). When I last looked, I saw that only THREE teams won more on the road (Green Bay, New England and San Francisco) so it seems nearly EVERY team can't play on the road.
