Lance may be out again....

Saints could be without another key weapon on Saturday - NFL - Yahoo! Sports

dizzle88 01-04-2012 11:16 AM

Hope he comes back soon, we need his clutch hands

papz 01-04-2012 11:27 AM

Was going to mention this the other but I wasn't planning on rolling with...

We Didn't Have Him The Superbowl Year In The Playoffs Either....I Think We're Still Ok....

halloween 65 01-04-2012 11:46 AM

This is the only reason I wanted the bye, but I think playing straight threw is going to pay off better, just no more injurys, please, it's to late to get banged up now!!

Budsdrinker 01-04-2012 12:17 PM

Arrington, Meachem, Hendersen, time to step up and show your worth.

WhoDat!656 01-04-2012 12:43 PM

Time for AA to step up!!

Srgt. Hulka 01-04-2012 12:51 PM

I kinda figured he wouldn't be back. He needs to get healthy. We did ok without him against Carolina, but we need him in the playoffs, if for nothing else, his leadership. Get well quick Lance!

ScottF 01-04-2012 12:56 PM

He is one great player of many. One goes down (Colston, Ingram, Kreutz) another steps up.
Truth is, we won't miss a baeat

saintfan 01-04-2012 02:38 PM

Wow. Most unfortunate for sure. We can win without him, but it sucks to be one weapon short.

Rugby Saint II 01-04-2012 04:42 PM

We will miss him but the end result is the same......nothing short of winning the Superbowl!

thebdj 01-04-2012 04:43 PM

We've still got Sproles, Graham and Colston as starting weapons and let's nt rule out Meachem and Henderson who can come up with massive plays.

I also like the look of Arrington when he is given a chance. In honesty, I said it about Colston in the thread about whether he stays with us or not, if Brees gets someone who can catch the ball and runs a good route, then he'll hit him, whoever he is. Hell, add me to the practice squad! :)

Agree dizzle88.

Pity.

Danno 01-04-2012 05:41 PM

That drops us down to about 8 or 9 offensive weapons. Damn.

WHO_DAT_CAT 01-04-2012 07:23 PM

Moore, Colston, Graham, Sproles in that order seem to have the stickest fingers most consistently. And, the difference between them is not that great. But, Moore is a slot receiver and he plays the position better than anyone on the team IMHO.

|Mitch| 01-04-2012 07:26 PM

we have more than enough weapons to cover for Moore! Let him rest that hammy up, we may need him an a even more important game...

Halo 01-04-2012 07:32 PM

I seriously don't think we have a depth problem at wide-receiver.
Maybe they'll key on the run and some of our "no-name" receivers will burn them LOL

QBREES9 01-04-2012 11:36 PM

Ok AA show us what ya got.

Marlboro Man 01-05-2012 01:39 AM

AA has been playing well when he has had his chances and I think we will be just fine with Colston, 6'-4", Graham, 6'-6", Meachem, 6'-2" and AArington, 6'-3". Then there's Sproles, PT and Ivory. We still got plenty of fire power.

Cruize 01-05-2012 09:34 AM

Arrington is more than capable.

SaintsBro 01-05-2012 01:38 PM

What I like about Arrington is that he is not just some random dude who just got here in a taxi cab straight from the airport, like some of those running backs we had last year. Last year we had guys at running back, who were practically being introduced to Drew for the first time at the midfield opening coin toss, LOL. But Arrington's been with the team for a long time, knows the guys, knows the offense, and presumably knows his routes and knows what to do. I hope we are pleasantly surprised by him.

RaginCajun83 01-05-2012 02:10 PM

So Meach, Jimmy and Sproles get more playing time in the slot. So what's the problem?

Yep. Hope we stay balanced )unlike last year when we had ZERO running backs.

Have to hope Meachem holds up with his injury.

papz 01-06-2012 03:30 PM

Lance Moore (hamstring) has been ruled out for the Wild Card round.
Moore is out indefinitely. Robert Meachem should start against Detroit.

No link of yet.

saintfan 01-06-2012 04:54 PM

Booo!

I expect us to survive, but still...

Saintsfan4ever 01-06-2012 05:04 PM

Yeah we got plenty of depth at WR.. and I got plenty of blue jeans in my closet too, but I'm more comfortable with a particular 2 pair over the others. Lance and Drew have a chemistry you can't substitute. Lance is also the backup for Sproles on punt returns.
Besides that, we don't have a good endzone dancer without Lance!

Ashley 01-06-2012 07:33 PM

Will we see more of AA then?

|Mitch| 01-06-2012 07:37 PM

Arrington and Wilson both should see more time!

spkb25 01-07-2012 09:36 AM

Lance out

Just saw on ESPN, Lance and Cas are out

FireVenturi 01-07-2012 10:36 AM

Argh.... Look for devery with a big day, Arrington as well.

|Mitch| 01-07-2012 10:38 AM

yep I heard the news yesterday on NFL Network; I believe they said Bussey would be activated
