It was a great feat what Stafford was able to accomplish at his age... but at the same time, times have changed. The rules have changed and these numbers and shattering of passing records are just going to grow.

Yep,

OFFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSIPS.

I mentioned this a few years ago and I believe its more true than ever.

IMO... an elite Offense coupled with a decent Defense is now every bit as dominant as an elite Defense with a decent offense.

The NFL rule changes favoring the offenses have tilted the balance towards elite offenses.

I'm curious to see if the league will allow the pendulum to swing back toward defenses in the near future.

This season it ( elite Offense coupled with a decent Defense ) better be more than equally dominant -- when we have to play SF. But, good news here is, I don't know how 'decent' SF's offense is.

Any opinion?

Me too. But, I really don't want to see all the injuries. And, if the defenses being shut down some prevents injuries, I'm for it.

To me, the players are playing to entertain us. I hate the thought that some of these guys will be painfully crippled both physically and mentally for the rest of their lives just to entertain me -- and make a living -- which for most of the players that is pretty much all it is.

As Craig Ferguson says, I look forward to your letters.

"You know, we're both Texas high school quarterbacks that kind of went on different paths to get to the NFL," said the former Purdue standout. "But regardless of how we got here, we're all trying to make our mark and definitely have been impressed with what he's been able to do."
