so i go to join the 49ers forum to make some classy posts and respectable comments . . . . . and heres what they email me 15 minutes after registration ......

my registration was deleted (my original post). but its all good. go saints. glad to see atl just got knocked off so im still smiling

thats the thing.......... i hadnt even had a chance to post yet ............ all i did was register . . . . . click the emailed link to show i was a human . . . . received another email stating thanks for registering . . . . . 15 mins after, i recieve another email stating i didnt meet membership requirements. lol i bet had i named myself "redngoldfan" then id probably been shopwered with greetings and probably offered an admin job lmao. recommend a good packers forum because my faith tells me this will be a win this sat.

I didnt get the rejection message, but I had to wait a day for my application to be processed.

What do you expect from a team that is still bragging about what their team did 20 yrs ago?

I alluded to this tactic in a few posts ... they pulled this stunt with us in Detroit prior to Wk #6 ... one of their junior mods then comes onto the site offering to speed up the registration process for your fans while the FortyNiner Faithful spam and flame your board. It's an ambush. The explaination I got was it's set up this way to filter out IP addresses that are not in the SanFrancisco area ... I didn't bother with it, lurked around their board and it ain't all that anyway ... to me it's just a way to ward off trolls and opposing team's fans from the site, what else could it be for?

Personally I will never go to another team's message board. Not even to peruse what they are saying and definitely not to post and troll. It's no mystery what to expect to see or get in responses. Why bother?

Well, considering the posts here from SF fans with the multiple FAIL and LOL and put downs, and after skimming over the 2 threads linked by 656, I don't think it is worth anyone's time to bother going over there...

I registered in 2010 and made a few posts recently. I was gang tackled but I will say they did not kill my account.

We aren't afraid of you. You guys have a great team and are capable of winning but so are we.

YO Flat out calling their fan base out, bunch of punks!!! Bunch of scared little punks!! I wasn't even going over there but to have a civil discussion, and I got the same thing. So basically you bask in your own knob shlobbing of each other, and prevent any dissension or opinions adverse of your own.

That team may play tough, but the fan base is a bunch of PUNKS!!!

I know, old thread, but I tried signing up for the 49ers message board and get denied as well. Glad the Saints boards are more welcoming.

That is why this site is the best "Fan Site" out there.

Hey, I know this is a bump move, but I wanted to share my experience. My brother-in-law is a 9er fan and I jumped in there to see what was going on news-wise.

Remember those old SNL skits where the Bears fans would compare Ditka to a hurricane? Thats EXACTLY what these guys were doing. Posts like "List your Top 5 49er Plays Ever". Absolute garbage. By far, the lamest forum board I've ever looked at. And I'm a member at sewpro and golfwrx.

I can't remember. My DoD computer is blocking it. I think its just forums.49ers.com or something. It looks just like this site with different color schemes.

Im still registered there. They get a little crazy over there sometimes. Like when we beat them by a field goal after the Super Bowl win. Its about 50/50 over there. Ok before the game , crazy after.

TahoeGirl is the admin over there. She is good people. If you want to seriously add to the talk over there and not troll I'd be happy to put in a good word for you.

What's the point of talking to 49er fans? They don't share anything in common with us as fans.

They have a lot more in common than you would think. I belong to forums all across the league. I know pherin does, as well. Your basic fan is the same everywhere. They just wear different colors on game day.

Some fan bases are classier than others though like ours as compared to the Falcons fans. At least in public. Just sayin'......

I just wish they would at least respond to emails. Straight up rejection and no response.
