I have been saying all week that there is no doubt they're going to do it. It won't matter if it doesn't rain- watch. We get out there and the field will eb **** no matter what. They're going to get it nasty to slow us down and get the advantage, absolutely no doubt.

It won't matter if it doesn't rain all week and the field is still suspiciously drenched, they'll claim it is just the way it is in san fran, and there will be nothing the league can do about it.

Our only answer- be ready for it- win the frigan game anyway. I mean we are professionals and if Sean and company doesn't expect this and isn't prepared with a plethora of different cleats to handle it, well...

The biggest answer to this game though is no turnovers. No way we lose if we protect the ball, but we have to protect it. No turnovers. I am also glad we had two last week and Drew nearly threw a couple more- that should rid us of that behavior going into this game, I hope anyway!!!

Your team stinks

If they do this, it will slow down Frank Gore, Kendall Hunter, Michael Crabtree, and most importantly, their corners. Fine with me. A wet field is almost always more beneficial to the team that runs the ball better, and that's us.

Bring it on.

Maybe all that stuff would work in 2010, but what everyone doesn't seem to get (Saints fans excluded) is that we have an awesome running game.

Will we rushing for 150+ against SF? Doubt it.

But we will do enough to keep the D honest.

Will we be able to throw 60 yard bombs all day outdoors?

Maybe not, but we will be able to take them down with the short to intermediate stuff. Look for Jimmy to come up HUGE in this game.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if they sprinkle. They are in the middle of a huge drought. Any watering that is done will soak up right away. There is zero percent chance of rain on Saturday at this point.

Really? A wet field actually favors OFFENSE instead of defense. A receiver knows his routes and can prepare to cut, but a defender doesn't.

The field is below sea level, so it is naturally sloppy. Gore already has a problem slipping, so why would they make it easier for him? C'MON MAN!

I'm pretty sure it's not below Sea Level. It's a **** field at any rate. Sometimes they re-sod it mid-season.

I don't think comparing bribery to over-sprinkling the field is a honest or logical comparison to make. And really if it isn't against the NFL rules - why wouldn't they do it if they deemed it beneficial to their odds of success? Frankly, that is the prerogative of the higher seed team, and one that is earned through regular season performance. Some say that crowd noice gives the home team an unfair advantage, but none of us are demanding there to be something done about it even if it might not fully fall under the umbrella of "fair-play."

The game starts at 1:30, Whiner time. If it gets so late they have to turn on the lights it will be like quadruple overtime!!

I think it is interesting, that we seem more worried about dirty tricks, than the team we are playing.

And, I like it.
