Anyone heard anything about Juran Bolden?

Below is a look at Renaldo Hill(RFA)

CB Renaldo Hill, Arizona (compensation: seventh): Not as tall or physical as some teams want but, in first season as full-time starter, had five interceptions and 11 passes defensed in 2003. Also had 58 tackles, so some indication he will come up and play the run. In a picked-over unrestricted market at cornerback, might be a modest alternative for a team looking to add a No. 2 or "nickel" guy.

What do you think bout the saints signing Denard Walker when the Minn... Viking release him?

The Pioneer Press reports the Minnesota Vikings are trying to trade CB Denard Walker. The team would like to land a late-round draft choice for him, but if they can\'t work out a trade they will simply release him.

so he made a few tackles... but not an outstanding CB by any means. He is dead weight on there roster so they are tring to move him... probably will be cut but not worth us signing him.

Lets take a step back and look closely at our 2004 roster...
Ambrose - can still play another year, average NFL CB
Thomas - Still has several years left, above average CB
Carter (if re-signed for less) - when healthy was still an above average CB, but barely
Brown - decent nickle, still improving, good red-zone CB heigth, slighly below average NFL CB, Hawthorne with a better attitude.
Craver - Disappointment so far, but still has some promise, clocks ticking...

If I\'m the FO, I wouldn\'t bring in a CB thats really no better than what we already have. Maybe for additional depth and/or camp competition (Walker, Bolden, Hill) but I think a solid CB or two in the draft, whether 1, 2a or 2b could provide the depth and youth we need and could learn under our experienced vets.

A CB is coming guys, it just might be late April before we know who.

Also a lot of vets are cut in June that could provide the same quality depth that the remaining FA CB\'s bring, and probably at 1/2 the price.

I have a suspicion that an announcement on Carter re-structuring may come soon.

Couldn\'t agree with you more. Signs do indicate they are looking to the draft for a CB. If they sign a MLB before the draft a move up could bring Gamble. If not trading down could also get us good value and a decent young CB. I don\'t have a problem bringing Carter back but hell he is broke and needs the money after is drug problem so is he playing just to get money or is he really able to (age catching up with him)...
