I'm going to the Saints/49ers game!!!

I just got my ticket on stubhub.com. It was 200 bucks. Yes, I know it's a lot to spend on a game, but these opportunities don't come along very often. I will be driving up on Friday from where I live (Glendale) and spending the whole weekend. Luckily I found a really affordable motel in Redwood City.

The great thing about San Fran is there is so much to do. There's the wine country, Ghirardelli Square, Fisherman's Wharf, and so on. Maybe I will post some pictures of my trip and of the game here.

In any case, there will be one more person in the crowd who will not be making disruptive noise during the Saints drives. Lol.

Is anyone else going?

AlaskaSaints 01-11-2012 10:51 AM

I'm extremely envious. If I didn't have a business trip this weekend I'd be there myself.

By the way. $200 is nothing anymore for a seat. Life is short and you can take nothing with you when you go. Not even the suit you're wearing. You see, they'll cut the ass and back out of it so you gotta walk around in heaven half-naked. It scares me worse than death.

Anyway... Enjoy the game and post-up some pictures when you return.

Enjoy the game represent us well and bring some Tony's and Tabasco to Fisherman's Wharf. Beautiful seafood and they don't have a clue what to do with it!

Why aren't you going Alaska? Fly down. CA would like to have you and you can get out of the cold.

$200 doesn't sound bad at all. Congrats! I would love to see a game in Candlestick....especially this one!!

AlaskaSaints 01-11-2012 12:11 PM

Don't worry, 49er fan, I'll be seeing you in San Diego next season. That is, if you're willing to come downtown and buy be a drink and tell me how sorry you are that you doubted the abilities of the World Champion New Orleans Saints!

Seriously. I'm going to be at the San Diego game. I had that on my checklist for some time. San Diego is a great place to wine and dine.

It is a nice place and you will enjoy it. What are you doing in Alaska as a Saints fan? How did that happen?

skymike 01-11-2012 12:36 PM

way to go, SR11. I've been to Candlestick, and I love the place. I dont understand what people are *****ing about there; Its my favorite stadium in Football. Outside, grass, incredible view of the mountains, old school look, historic, good atmosphere, and you even get fog. History too.

Are you in Glenwood CA, or Glenwood, AZ?

Raise some hell for us!

Ashley 01-11-2012 12:58 PM

Enjoy the game.... Only wish that I could make the game. However I have been their before raising Hell when we played them during Ricky Williams rookie yr. Had a blast, and you will too! Geaux Saints!!

Glendale, CA here. Yes, I will try to raise some hell. I just hope there are a whole bunch of Saints fans there. I remember the last time the Saints played San Fran there were quite a few from the Who Dat nation present.

Enjoy the game SaintsRule11.

Good for you.

(I tell ya what. If I drove, my car would be well rusty from the Atlantic after 4000 miles. LOL)

Are you coming from out of town? When do you expect to be down around the Wharf? I work in Levis Plaza so I can walk down to the pier and meet you for a brew of something if you're interested. Let me know.

As for the game, 200 bucks was just too much considering I'm taking the family to a few baseball games this year and I'm going to see Van Halen in Oakland in June. I'll be watching from East Bay though! Enjoy!

Headed to San Fran Fri from St. Louis - meeting my brother who is flying in from FL. Looking forward to seeing the city and cheering on the Saints! WHO DAT!

alohanola 01-13-2012 02:03 AM

We got our wooly black and gold Saints jackets and are coming in from Hawaii to cheer them on at the Stick! Friday night we're going to check out Black Magic Voodoo Lounge on Lombard Street in the city - I hear it is the local Saints bar and a mighty fine hole in the wall, Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop style. I hope to run into more NOLA natives while we're there. :bng:

Yeah, SF, that was a pleasant surprise when I saw the picture! LOL He's got to be a franchise fan. He sits 50 yard line, 4th row. Amazing seats if you like LOW.
