Roethlisberger will throw for Chargers

CINCINNATI (AP) -- Ben Roethlisberger will work out privately later this month for the San Diego Chargers, who have the first overall pick in the NFL draft and are in the market for a dependable quarterback.

Roethlisberger, who led Miami of Ohio to a No. 10 ranking this season, is scheduled to throw for the Chargers on the school's campus in nearby Oxford on March 23.

He will have dinner with New York Giants officials the next day, then work out for scouts from a variety of NFL teams on March 25.
Curious, very curious. I wonder if they have already lined up a team to trade spots with? Or is this an elaborate ploy? At any rate, the 08 theory will not go away.

Oh, and when are we getting new Jillian Barberie avatars? She's football related.

I think losing Dale Carter is a great thing. If he farted wrong, he went to the sideline b/c of an injured buttcheak. Not to mention when I was at the Saints training camp last August, he kept using the F-word around little kids. Someone in the stands finally told him to shut his mouth. Sam Gash is a nice pick up, he may (or is) be on the downside of his career, but he is a positive presence in the locker room and has a Superbowl ring weighing him down. Definately a character upgrade over Carter. I\'ll still miss Terrelle Smith though, he was a bull out there.
