ok season is over..

the lack of speed in the LB corp is blinding - SLB is my #1 area of concern.

DL needs something. the players they have should get the job done but they are not cutting it. Youth maybe the answer

Missing Lance Moore showed we have no back up slot WR.

The OL is not as great as the media says. Niners proved it. Bushrod, pro bowl or not belongs at RT.

Secondary can not catch a cold.

So time to start shopping.

Which way do we go?

No he doesn't! Strief is better. I said it before the game that Bushrod was going to get exposed. He's slow coming out of his stance & gets abused by good pass rushers. It was very obvious today. We need a legit LT. Bushrod got in the Pro Bowl only because of Drew Brees' play this year.

Our need, for a long time, has been OLB. Martez Wilson played pretty well, and he may help. But, our lack of speed at that position has caused us to put Safeties in real bad positions to try and compensate. I really hope new blood and new coaches fix that in the off-season.

Martez and Casillas both are fast for the OLB spot, they just don't get enough playing time...

Casillas missed two seasons with injuries.

Wilson may be the future.

We still need a speedy, edge-rusher

Gonna be tough. Brees, Colston and Nicks are gonna eat up all the cap room.

We better hope Wilson, Jordan and Galette develop fast, reak fast.

Agreed. Casillas needs to stay healthy, but I really like his effort. I think we may have the players at that position, but I would still be disappointed if we do not address it in the off-season. Bushrod is not the answer either. Has been our biggest weakness on the O-Line since Jammal Brown left. Was hoping Charlie Brown would develop...

Watching Brady tonight, there's still hope for our superbowl chances.

Rogers; Ellis; and Franklin have excelled in run defense the last half of the season... Just clogging the line, they don't show much athleticsm...

Not having a first round pick this upcoming year makes me less excited about the draft. Our front office has done a nice job finding guys in the mid to late rounds on offense but not so much on defense. I would love to see us get a pass rusher off the edge and some athletic linebackers.

You build a good defense from the front back. We need D-linemen and then LB's.

Nothing wrong with our back-end. Without a good front 4 any DB will get toasted.

Our DB's are fine, we have 1 good LB (Vilma) and 1 promising young one in Wilson.

We have 1 good D-lineman (Smith, and thats debatable) and 2 promising young ones in Galette and Jordan.

Everyone else in the front 7 has journeyman talent.

I think Smith has gotten slow. He has been "ok" for awhile but we need a speed guy there. Martez is going to be a beast. If I remember right, he was in the picture on everyone of the sacks. So I'd say: OLB, DT, OT

Agreed. All except for the 1 good D-lineman. Will Smith is done! We need talent on the edges & we need it now!

Move Harper to OLB, bring in a Safety that can cover. Takes care of two positions right there to me.

This draft is pretty deep at OLB and decent DT. But we probably end up going BPA again or reaching for a position we dont need.

Hopefully Greg Romeus is fully healthy, he could be the solution at DE. I Think Wilson will be starting 2012 and he got plenty of speed.

Ellis played and he was solid, as usual. He performs consistant but there is not a whole lot of flash, but that can't be said for anybody else on the D-line either.

I don't see us getting an upgrade for Bushrod in the draft with out a pick in the first round. Brown would have to develop and beat him out but I don't think that will happen this year, maybe Brown for Strief.

Another prospect at WR would be nice and also at backup TE. The Patriots got 2 of them and I wish we did too.

But mostly focus on D and ST in the draft IMHO we need a good returner but more than anything a bunch of guys who can block and cover so we can get some more yards.

A 200 pound LB would get destroyed in the NFL.

You don't move a pro-bowl SS to OLB. You go get a real OLB.
