Do I have an unhealthy relationship with the Saints?

24 hours later I only feel worse. Its not only that we lost, but its the fashion that we lost. We AMAZINGLY came back from a -5 TO deficit and lost in the final 1:30 seconds in the game. Those of you who know me know that I am a pessimist. I am a pessimist so hopefully I won't be let down because I know how much emotion I have about these games. I slept all day, which is not good for me anyway, and I cannot bring myself to get dressed or even get out of the house to get smokes. Now we have to wait months during that long black period before even the draft which at least gives us a little excitement. Im not only mad, I am seriously depressed. What do you guys do to make yourself feel better.

Belair57 01-15-2012 04:50 PM

no, its a normal response. I couldnt fall asleep until 3:30am!! thats really really unlike me. I was bummed during the game, after the game, and still am..

IM prone to depression anyway and its seasonal. it comes up this time of year anyway, at least we were in the postseason I guess.

I've often "Joked" that I need to be on the show "Intervention" for my football addiction.

I should not be this depressed over a daggone football game.

So, I feel your pain; and if it is unhealthy, you are not the only one with the disease, my friend...

Well if this makes you feel any better....
It's the playoffs and only the best teams make it. No game was going to be easy. I was more concerned with Detriot than San Fransico and I wonder if the Saints were too... They won't admit it but I think alot of people had taken the 9er's for granted this year and a luck team.

I see alot of people blaming Greg Williams calling him names and what not but in the end it was players who blew coverage and yes.... threw interceptions and fumbled. You gotta blame them too.

yes I'm ranting.. watching Giants about to score again and can't help wondering if the Saints would have won the NFC Championship would have been in New Orleans again....

Be greatfull for the season and the team we have.

Remember the Falcons. That always cheers me up.

Well, look at it this way- how many teams can say they've made the playoffs 3 out of the last 4 years?16 other teams didn't even make the playoffs.next season will be here before you know it! WHO DAT!

Don't worry dude, you aren't the only one man. I was at work at 6am and i was so gutted after the game I didnt go to bed until 2am lol

One thing that I don't know if it will help you but it makes me feel happy, I think of the records we shattered and how we are the greatest offense, better than the greatest show on turf.

If we had gone on to win the superbowl I would only care about the wins and not the records we broke, but now its over it helps me to think how we owned in regular season.

When you become a saints fan, you personally sign away the gift of controlling your cholesterol level, because its way out of our hands how stressed the team can make us at times

IMO the Giants would have been more of a challenge than Green Bay

I'll be honest. If you will take this for what is worth. And this is just personal experience. If you heavily invest your emotions in things you can't control you will find yourself disappointed in life. A lot. Just pull back a bit.
