Damn! You ARE an idiot.

Not surprised. Not even a little. I've been to many professional sporting events. The last Football games was the Saints regular season game in Houston a few years ago. It was clear there that we were in 'enemy' territory, but I never feared for my safety, and I didn't regret bringing my family. It's was a good time even though the Saints lost.

But there are just way too many stories like this lately, and it's not isolated to football. I'm planning on taking my family to an A's game this summer - it will be part of my son's 2nd birthday. I am hopeful that we can enjoy the game as we were able to with Rangers games we took my daughter too when we lived in Arlington.

But I am concerned, and it's a damn shame isn't it? One of the comments about that guys letter was that the fan behavior was un-American. It is. It's sad. Sportsmanship is enforced on the field. It's time it was enforced in the stands too. People behaving that way should be made to leave. Period.

You can't just walk up to somebody on the street and behave that way. Why should it be tolerated inside a professional sports stadium.

Agreed! Who wants to take their life into their own hands just to go to a football game??? That's crazy! In New Orleans, I mostly ignore the fans of the other team unless they are friendly, and then I will talk with them and be friendly back! I was at Pat O'Brien's the day before the Bears/Saints game, and we had a blast with Bear fans even! ( Go figure). If the trend continues where fans at other stadiums threaten fans from other teams and disrespect them as human beings, I, for one, will only go to Saints home games. I've been to Dallas, Houston and Denver as well as the dome...the worst was Denver, but I never felt threatened...just wanted to punch one guy out! LOL!~ SF deserves to lose in a big way. Here's hoping.....Geaux Giants!!!

You didn't have anything to fear at the Houston game because we out numbered them, there are a lot of Saints fans in Houston that live in Houston so these "Texans" fans knew they would have to deal with them sooner or later so they know to just cool it with any smack talk

I LIVE 40 miles from Houston, so even though I take a lot of teasing, for the most part they are good folks! ;)

Its the thug and gang mentality of some fans.

Yeah I have no respect for 49er fans after some of the stuff I read.

I mean enjoy the win... celebrate but don't degrade or talk trash to others that is stupid and ignorant because you don't win forever.

GO GIANTS!!!
