He has patience and a plethora of receiving options at his disposal...
There were a couple of times I'd liked to have seen him run, if not to keep the defense honest and freeze a defender/spy in his place... But I'm not going to split hairs on a top 3 QB whose playing in the new Golden Age of Passing... |

He got his shoulder ripped up in San Diego. So there is probably a reason why.

He's not scared. One of the reasons that Drew doesn't run the ball more is because he is a master of pocket awareness and elusiveness. He will slide a few steps left or right. He steps up or does actually run on a roll out. This and his incredible receiving options means he almost never needs to run.

He's tremendous in the pocket. And I see him more as a pocket guy. He's not Michael Vick or Cam Newton. He's not the type to run around a lot. But with the weapons they have and pocket presense he has why not just stay put in the pocket?
