Northcutt is a 5 year pro who\'s best year, had 62 receptions, 729 yards, and 2 touchdowns. He\'s 5-11\", weighing in at 175lbs. All his stats are BELOW the NFL average. He\'s behind Quincy Morgan on the depth chart.
The argument went from trading a 2nd rounder for him to a 3rd rounder. While trading a 3rd rounder for him is more inline with what I think he\'s worth, I still wouldn\'t make this move. Maybe I do over-value draft picks, but I\'m not going to trade away a 3rd round draft pick for someone who is going to compete with Pathon, Lewis, Caldwell, Crowell, and Gardner for the 3rd WR spot on this team. I would rather take my chances in the draft.

I wasn\'t. The only thing that cheezed me on this thread was-

As if to say, \"thank God your not the head coach, since you wouldn\'t make this trade.\" If it makes you feel any better, I agree with the current coaching staff\'s moves that they have made on this argument thusfar- which has been nothing at all.

Dennis Notrhcutt doesnt bring anything to the table that the Saints dont already have. Giving up a pick for somethinf you already have is pointless and forget about it ever happening...The only kind of reciever the Saints need is someone about 6\'3 just to be a reliable target in the red zone and to create mismatches for other teams with smaller corners...pretty much like the ones that we have.
